For the girls it was the hair model head thing but for me it had to be Mr Softy. I did not have one and pined for one every birthday and christmas. My parens always said it was a seasonal present which was of no use in October when my birthday was...and the flavouring would run out. I did have a soda stream which was the poor mans Mr Frosty.

scalectrix is by far the best

That picture is not scalectrix, that is slot car racing, and they go about 10 times quicker than scalectrix car.

Mind you, i have to agree scalectrix was great closely followed by subbuteo

Mini electric piano was great. I got one in my christmas stocking one year and it was ace! About 5 inches long and you got a little song book with it.

Alacarte kitchen, who ever has swiss roll and beans together.

I have every single one of the original figures as well as a few ltd edition ones. I also have every vehicle and play set, i.e. ewok village, Hoth landscape etc. They are all in my loft growing in value.
