Awful place, where the Eastbourne 'mafia' seem to hang out.

Went in a new place on Sunday in Mark Lane called The Loft. After being told it was TABLE SERVICE (at 3 in the afternoon, FFS) and seeing the prices - £3.95 for a Magners - we beat a hasty retreat to BN21.

The Eagle's alright, as is Maxims for a late drink.

Primrose hil has been shut and converted - cross Lane/Stile Common Road ?

The wellington - thats the one in Newsome

Head of steam is next to teh station.

The Meads Club is unfortunately in even worse repair these days

The Lamb and The Albert in Old Town are both decent pubs

as is The Wheatsheaf in Willingdon

Bibendum is alright not my fave

The Marine is a good pub

The Ship garden is good in the summer

don't bother with the town centre

agree with The Nuthouse - not a regular but I watched the final scenes from Trent Bridge in there and they were very accomodating

Marine is good for a quite drink but is not cheap.

Also like the Lamb, and the Prince Albert is good on a Friday and Saturday night.

During the day I drink in Chambers which while small is not a bad pub.
