Any away games when we took over 10,000 supporters? Three I can think of (a long time ago) and I only went to two of them. Missed the Newcastle away match through lack of transport.

Newcastle away 79 , over 7000 went , not surpassed until Crap Town played them in the Carling when they took 7,500 which is now the official largest away attendance at St James's Park.

How many were at Man Ure for the 2 cup games in 90s?

I wnet to the FA Cup game. There was only 26,000 in Old Trafford and I think there were only 5000 or so at one end from Brighton. None at all at the other end.

They had a few in the lower half of the stratford end as it was halfway through being re built. Dont think we took more than 5,000 TOPS.

What about Peterborough in 1986?

About 4500 that day. We all has red scarves if I remember right. Newcastle was never 10k like someone suggested earlier on here, about 7k I reckon.

I reckon that day at Aldershot was the most travelling support we have ever taken to a league game in my lifetime. A crowd of 11K if memory serves me right. We took plenty to a Palace game one year I seem to remember but never as many as that Easter match with the Shots.

Shame about their crossbar though

Edit : How many to Pompey the following season on Dec 27th ?...........................

What ? The P`Boro game ? The crowd was 15K so we would not have been given 6500 would we ?

We were behind the goal and that held 4000 and something so no way was it 6500.
