I saw my first Albion game 50 years ago yesterday

Albion 2. Bradford City 1.

Does anyone know who scored, I’ve looked on the inter web , can’t find it. 1D1A607A-8CCB-4181-A124-3241FD0BEF05.jpeg

Saw my first 50.5 years ago, you jonny come lately, lawros left foot :lolol:

Coincidentally I met up with a good number of the 1969 entry to HGSB today. Fifty year (and a bit) anniversary. Yes, it was emotional.

a certain Bruce Bannister played for Bradford that day

That got me thinking that it must be close to my 50 year anniversary and a quick on line check tells me it was our next home game against Shrewsbury Feb 1970. We won 1-0 and my memory tells me that Alex Dawson scored and it was right at the start in the first few minutes.

anyone remember the Good Friday game against Reading?

over 32,000 packed the Goldstone

I was there. Clinging to the fence at the south end of the west stand. Saw nothing. It was Magnificent.
