As everyone's saying that Caroel and Frutos aren't good enough defensively, our strikers areen't really ever working in tandem and we're conceding too many, couldn't this be the way forward?

Kuipers

El-Abd McShane Butters Mayo

Hammond Carpenter Reid

Carole CKR/Big Mac Frutos

I don't see why not, Keaton.

Getting Carole and Frutos running at centre backs more is a must but they do seem to be starting far too deep. If we were to play this formation I would begrudgingly have to side with McCammon up front to use as a battering ram and CKR is too immature at the moment.

Maybe Lynch at LB and you may have a winner

This is the formation if not the exact line up used at Elland road earlier this season to good effect, I would certainly start with it tomorrow.

Good Call.

You'd be asking a lot of Carole & Frutos, but otherwise its worth a pop... I'm happy enough with Mayo in there as long as he is not expected to support Fruity too much...

The proof is in the pudding I suppose...

:clap2: good call Peter Taylor used that formation at times a few years back. Correct me if im wrong but i believe it was;
Kuipers
Watson Cullip Morgan Mayo
Lewis Melton Chippy
Brooker Zamora Hart

its been used before and worked so theres no reason why it cant work again!

We played 4-4-2 at Elland Road, Carole and Jarrett on the wings, Knight and Robinson up front.

El-Abd McShane Butters Lynch

---------Carpenter Reid-----------

Carole---------CKR---Frutos/Jarrett

Thats the way to do it. 2 holding players who can pass infront of the back 4 and then this gives the forwards the chance to push up. But as their is 3 of them just infront of the CM 2 it still gives us reasonable defensive cover up the pitch. This also means our 3 most talented attacking players can all link up. Also our propesity to lump it works because if the ball drops in front of their back 4 or Trolley gets a header their are 3 players waiting to pounce on the ball.

This also switches easily between 4-3-3 and 4-4-2. Robinson can also be used in place of Carole or CKR.
