The voices from The Simpsons have gone on strike for $360,000 an episode. This equates to $8,000,000 a series.

Surley no one is worth that money just for reading a script!

That's less than some footballers earn, yet the Simpsons is watched and loved by millions around the world. Sure the cast only provide the voices, but without those voices there is no Simpsons.

It's a lot of money but if you can get paid that, good luck to you.

Heard about this on the radio today. For each episode, the voice actors are required for 5 to 7 hours over a 2 day period - and thats IT.

Now on the one hand, you could say that for the amount of work they have to do, they are clearly being greedy bastards. But on the other hand, The Simpsons is sold worldwide and makes Fox BILLIONS of dollars...so the actors obviously want their cut.

Personally I couldn't give a toss what they earn, as long as the show continues, cos I LOVE IT.
