That said Farage does actually win the argument - Trump never said the word 'bleach'.

Not sure if you are serious?

In a way though he does win. He draws Morgan into a long discussion over a specific incident which for most people was only ever part of the Trump sideshow and never meant to be taken very seriously. Morgan can't resist because he sees a chance to 'win' and (in his mind) look good.

Upshot is we all go away thinking about how silly Trump was and about a Farage vs Morgan spat.

When what we should have been going away with was an understanding of the way that Trump is deliberately, without justification undermining public trust in US democracy and how damaging that could be. I'd lke to have seen Farage forced to defend that for most of the interview, not the silly stuff about bleach.

Morgan is a sh*t journalist because for him, it's all about him.

Farage is an evil little man but he knows what he's doing.

I watched that live.

Whatever people think of Farage, even his fans must admit that he came out of it very cerebrally challenged (thick).

When simply shown the real video of Trump recommending disinfectant, he repeatedly called out "Fake News". That lie was all he had to offer, no discussion, no defence of Trump.

It hadn't realised quite how childlike and limited Farage really is.

Would love to know if any gently open-minded Brexiteers are embarrassed by Farage these days?

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. This man has so much baggage in his life, that has been swept under the carpet, that the press are going to have a field day. The real fun will begin if Kamala Harris takes over. Bumpy times ahead.

No one is saying Sleepy Joe is the ideal candidate, because the Democrats don't seem to have one, but that matters not at all. All he has to be is "not Trump". He will be more Presidential because you cannot be any less Presidential, he will be less divisive because you cannot be more divisive, he will be more truthful because you cannot be less truthful, he will be more scientific because you cannot be any less scientific and he will be less racist because you cannot be any more racist.

He is literally slightly less shit than the worst President the US has ever had.

Four years of that at his age is probably enough and we can have a proper contest with an actual politician involved from the GOP versus a hopefully better Dem next time out.

Meanwhile, if he buggers up Boris's oven ready chlorinated chickens that'll be a tidy bonus

Brexiteers admitting they have been mugged? Good luck with that.

Superb. Reckon the Biden team might well be in touch for you to write his acceptance speech...

Imho Biden, a flawed candidate himself, is a massive upgrade on a racist, bullying, misogynistic, homophobic, gerrymandering, thick (disinfectant anyone?), dangerous (disinfectant anyone?), draft dodger who belittles military veterans.

Biden looked more presidential in his 5 minute speech last night in upholding the integrity of the US electoral system, voting and the application of democracy than Trump has looked at any time in the last 4 years.

Never a truer word said. I’d like to congratulate you on not using the word c**t anywhere in your post. The temptation must have been huge.

I can't watch Farage at the best of times but its even more difficult to watch him trying to talk whilst choking on Trump's flaccid lovechild bazooka.

People shouting at each other. All just as bad.

Don't the US have some kind of Electoral Commission with the power to get Trump to STFU? It's so dangerous for democracy all this subversive de-stabilising crap he keeps coming out with

BBC report the election was witnessed by European observers who seem to think that it went well. No reports of potential fraud. They were, however, very critical of Trump.

50k left to count in Georgia according to a report on CNN just now. It’s going to be very tight.

A report from PA only detailed 168k left but that didn’t seem to be exhaustive.

Regardless might be betting value at current Betfair odds on Trump on both of these states.

'US elections were 'tarnished' by attempts to undermine public trust, international observers say

The US presidential elections were "tarnished" by attempts to undermine public trust in the process, said international observers from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The international election observers said that the US election was "well managed despite the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic."

The international mission said however that "the campaign was characterised by deeply entrenched political polarisation that often obscured the broader policy debate and included baseless allegations of systematic fraud."

Michael Georg Link, leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission, said that incumbent President Donald Trump's allegations of deficiencies "harm public trust in democratic institutions."

Trump attempted to cast doubt on the vote tallies that continued throughout the day on Wednesday, accusing states of "secretly" dumping votes as they counted absentee and mail-in ballots.

Wisconsin Elections Commissioner Meagan Wolfe said nothing about the day was a surprise to her and that election officials gave their "hearts and souls."

Wolfe said that she felt "so confident that every single valid ballot was counted in the state of Wisconsin."

"I think that we should feel really proud about the election that was conducted yesterday."

Biden won the battleground state of Wisconsin with some 20,500 votes.

The OSCE said the pandemic was a challenge but election day was peaceful.

They said that voter identification requirements disenfranchised certain groups of people and that campaign finance remains an issue in the US.

The total expenditure is estimated to reach $14 billion for these elections, the OSCE said'
