How about a statue of Cardinal Canning, Guppy, and Doc at the new stadium?
It could be a huge commercial success, you could put 50p in a slot in the Cardinal and it would sing 'Bright Eyes' back at you.
Perhaps Guppy's could be relocated to Thailand?

This brought a tear to my eye. Many happy times at away matches, particularly in the 90's seeing this man meant that I was close to the ground.
Also very kindly offered to help me out when I was in a ticket dispute with British Rail on the way back from Wolves. I'd claimed a half price ticket with my student card, but the evil eyed inspector had spotted that my card had expired and was demanding the full ticket price. Grrrrr.
Anyway, respect to the man. Although loved the Argus ironic comment about him being single!

He used to carry a little case about like what Doctors used to carry, hence the nickname Doctor Talbot.
Please DO not enquire about the time he was STOPPED by the RUC in Belfast who wished to look inside the case.
