I know it’s been discussed before on another thread but I noticed someone has posted a thread on ‘Ask the project team’ about the seating design. Falmer Seats - North Stand Chat
What would be peoples preference? Personally I think it’s looks a little tacky spelling out club names and or nicknames, you only have to look at Palarse’s EAGLES! At Sellhurst to see how bad it can look!

I think plain seating would be the best option like this at Porto’s stadium;


What do people think?

Honestly, I couldn't care less and don't think it makes much difference either way.

Blue and white stripes - not sure how wide the stripes should be? 5 seats maybe?

Good answer. I went to the new Wembley for the first time yesterday, and wasn't even aware they had Wembley spelt out in the seats until the end!

I like the idea of plain blue, but blue and white stripes probably wouldn't look too bad.

Maybe the away fans' seats could be pink?

Plain blue all the way. Look how classy the Emirates is. Stripes/names, faces was a 90's thing, looks pretty tasteless now..
WBA recently stripped out the their tacky flag and letters that were in the Birmingham road end stand. The Hawthorns looks very cool now:

Always liked the Amsterdam arena, coulorfull pattern rather than tacky club nickname or initials.

No, I'm with you Croydon , plain's best. Lettering and as Easy says pictures never really work, they always look like the shit graphics on early computer games.

Wasnt talking about stripes at WBA old boy, was talking about their naff Albion in the away end and scarf thing behind the Birmingham rd end. Looks better now though doesnt it?!
If you want stripes, Bradford kind of have stripes, looks pretty poor:

Blue sections and white sections.

Perhaps the seat numbers could be on a small white seagull emblem (blue one for the white seats).

At the end of the day, the pattern does mean jack shit unless your a saddoe who likes sitting in empty arenas!
