So I guess with the Gallagher’ now fully aware of the promoters practice, they will now stop the dynamic pricing strategy for further dates, right?
Surely they hold the cards ..
They seem pretty confident tickets sold on 3rd party platforms will be cancelled. If this happens Ticketmaster will then resell even more standard price tickets as platinum so will be pretty keen on the idea.
Fans will be fleeced either way.
The blame ultimately is with the enablers, these being the Gallagher's. Pure greed nothing else. The final kick in the teeth will be if further dates are announced.
The more I read about this and the more I'm glad I've taken no part in it. I'll keep the memories from 1998 and leave it at that.
Any comment from the band?
Government needs to regulate against this practice, it needs to be stopped. Pure greed, nothing else.
As for bands , they are part of the problem. They aren’t respecting their fan base.
Imagine if Albion started doing this for high demand games. If they did I wouldn’t attend matches anymore
Dynamic pricing, is this common price these days from official sellers? Really sharp practice.
Presumably the band sanctions this, they select the promoter.
Taking into account for inflation things should only be double they were 25 years ago. But the fact is leisure and entertainment in way more expensive in real terms these days, its not just music, its ootball, tennis, rugby, cricket you name.
They don't charge what its worth, they charge what...
Paid AUD20 (a tenner) to see them at the Sydney Entertainment centre in 1998, touts were struggling outside to shift them, British backpackers were pretty happy.
Could all be cleared up easily with the threat of random ID checks, but they want resell sites to thrive for some reason. We now have a situation that even driving test slots are getting re-sold, nuts
Liverpool and Man U were top teams in England and Europe. The same can't be said about Oasis, their high level popularity was a domestic phenomenon something that Liam in particular failed to realise. I remember him turning up to MTV Unplugged drunk and unable to perform. This type of behaviour...
They never really broke America, just too arrogant for their own good.
I saw them at their height in Australia. Over there it was easy to get a ticket.
