I’ve only used the Sport mode once on my e208. Floored it from a standing start and was almost immediately 10mph over the speed limit, uphill! Eco all the way now

I barely use the brakes on my Peugeot e208. My driving style is “relaxed”, and the car has a “brake mode” which is effectively engine-braking combined with regenerative charging. Brilliant for the local winding hill roads. And the e208 is probably lighter than most other EVs.

To be fair, it’s not just EVs, it’s also a general trend in ICE vehicles. But not everyone wants bigger cars. Will be interesting to see what’s around when we’re looking to replace the e208.

Definitely moving in the right direction, except one - they are all getting too big, which must reduce range. Currently happy with my 2022 Peugeot e208, but will be looking around next year. By that time, they’ll all be massive tanks! Would love an electric Honda Jazz.

That’s rubbish. My EV heater would probably run as long as a petrol engine. Either fuel source, you’d have to be prepared in that extreme weather.

Neither would I. No-one suggested that. My car has a range of about 180 miles; I do about 100-150 miles per week. Sometimes I’ll charge it from around 60%, sometimes I’ll run it down to 25%. I’m simply using the app to help me decide when to plug in - ie. when electricity generation isn’t...

Yes; top of our list was the Renault Zoe - we really liked our test drive, but there was a 4-6 month waiting list for the version we wanted. Next was the Nissan Leaf, but a big disappointment - it seemed to roll around, and made my wife feel sea-sick! But the same dealer suggested the Peugeot...

I think this thread is going a bit off-piste... Something else I should mention - after buying my e208, I had to upgrade my crappy old Android phone, because I couldn't load the extra apps I needed for the car itself and various charging companies. So, shiny new car and shiny new phone.

I had to adjust the steering wheel - easily done with the little lever underneath - but am perfectly happy with it; a very natural, comfortable position, no problem seeing the dials. Well, I've just got back from my first long trip - Truro to Shoreham - with no trouble at all, so I'm feeling more confidant now. Left home with a full charge, stopped at Bridport on the way up. Recharged at the Longshore pub after some local driving, then stopped at Poundbury on the way back...
