I have a large garage full of 'investments' I keep an eye on. Some evenings I just look at them . . . I use them for holidays.

My Dad got pushed into redundancy/early retirement Nov 2003. Over 35 years at Seeboard/Anderson etc . . . . . dead Oct 2004.
He never had the chance to recalibrate thanks to cancer. He was 55

I still keep in touch and have ex colleagues from over 25 years ago I consider friends, in fact we had a works lunch before xmas . . . Sturtevant shut down in January 1995 . . . It was a pensioners day out and I was the 'yoof'

Oh yes, I completely get that, when Zef jr was little I suggested to Mrs Zef, if she wanted to be less skint we could move and have no mortgage . . . We knuckled down . . . 12 years later, the lights are brighter, and we're exactly where we want to be.

It was an inocent error. I may have been careless but it wasn't deliberate.
Funds have now been made available to settle the outstanding amount, my estate in the Maldives is also available for 1 month in August for the HMRC employee who spotted the 'typo'

Retirement is but a dream for most of us. Decent pensions closed 20+ years ago now
I'll be dead before I can afford to retire. My son will inherit £1m of house and a shit load of old cars, guitars & scooters to deal with :lolol:
