His reputation as some sort of communications genius is clearly unwarranted. Coronavirus has very immediate, very obvious effects which he can't b******t out of. He's out of his depth. They all are.
The fact that these ministers (and their leader) have been selected, not due to administrative competence, but ideological fervour is surely the problem. The calm heads and steady hands in the tory party didn't survive the culls of late last year.
