Correct (y) I thought the 1977 'EP' I have by punk rock band London (No Time/Siouxsie Sue/Summer of Love/Friday on my Mind) was on 10" ... it's actually 12"
The one 10" record I have is Stephen Fretwell's '8 Songs' - which Discogs describe as 10", Single, Mini-Album ... and oddly has 9 songs...
When I started buying 'records' in the mid 70's we simply referred to them as singles and albums ... and then occasionally boast about having a 12" single. I think I've still got a 10" single up in the loft.
First single I bought was in 1975 ... Minnie Riperton ... "Lovin' You".
First album -...
Any abuse or hate is absolutely wrong and should be dealt with. Gender critical views though (such as a tweet from JKR) are not abuse or hate and is a protected characteristic - depending on how it was used of course. The clip makes no actual reference to what abuse was received (I mean high...
You seem to think it's the DM that is the issue - probably because your political views don't align with them.
Sonia Sodha is a big voice on this issue. Does she have an agenda... bearing in mind who she writes for?
Absolutely. It’s not right when the focus is on an individual. The GK in this scenario should be protected. One issue for me is that some sporting bodies are clear on their position and rules whereas others aren’t - which doesn’t help anyone.
So you made your knuckle dragging comment without reading the thread. OK.
Anyway, I've nothing more to add here ... but just to confirm ... I support trans rights but I also support women's rights in sport.
Could you point me in the direction of any hate on here? I fully support Trans rights. But I also support women in their right for fairness. As I stated earlier - this is not about hate - it's about fairness.
But this isn't just because of a ladies league game getting cancelled. It's a tiny part of a much bigger conversation that is taking place about protecting women in sport. Your comment about it being due to a 'bloke in a dress' is quite disgraceful to be honest and is quite revealing.
Just because the link in the OP is a Mail article, I don't think it should just be dismissed. And it certainly isn't a 'mini culture war controversy'. Saying that just dismisses the legitimate concerns of women in sport.
Someone else who supports this view is Sonia Sodha - who writes for the...
Even 6ft is 'short' for a goal keeper. Average in the PL last season was just over 6' 2" apparently. The smallest was David Raya who is 6ft and a smidgen. So if Ryan is 6ft - he's short for a pro keeper.
Sorry, but this doesn't take away the physical body changes that a person gets when going through male puberty. Why do you think so many top sports - cycling for example - have banned trans women from competing in women events.
And this from the Telegraph adds another twist.
The trans woman 6 ft keeper plays for Sutton Utd and was signed by Sutton's new manager who is a trans woman ex ref with no experience in woman's football. Article suggests that it was a number of Sutton's own players that didn't want to play. It also states that the previous keeper was moved on...
