I get together with 3-4 'older' guys every month or so in the pub, and we set a theme for our next meeting. They often lose me, as they started out with darkrooms and home development and the like. Fascinating, but not sure I'd want to go there - all sounds far too much effort.

It's almost as quick to get back to Brighton - those trains across the Pennines can be dreadfully slow. Not as bad as Leeds to Lancaster though - those trains are not only slow but uncomfortable as well.

We finished bottom of Division 3 South in 1947-48, and to round it off, New Brighton finished bottom of Division 3 North. I reckon that qualifies Brighton to have been the very bottom team. However, there were only 86 teams.
