Kurt Nogan!
I recall him getting both goals for you in a 2-1 win at our place in the early-ish 90s. On the back of that I was delighted when we bought him. In hindsight that was his best game at Turf Moor.
Not really a player I know much about.
If we have bid, it'll be our attempt to replace Austin.
Barnes' record doesn't suggest he's a goalscorer though?
Evening all
I believe there'll be an article from Alan Nixon in Mirror tomorrow suggesting you've accepted a bid of £500k from us (Burnley) for Ashley Barnes. Even if true he may decline the move of course.
Sound likely?
Thanks.
Hmmm. We've got a squad of barely 20 players. Most of our Premier League squad has been moved on and we began the process of meeting the new financial fair play rules last summer. The only high earners left are the dross signed by Brian Laws 2 years ago. Most of Howe's signings have been lower...
You had much more of the ball, but didn't do a great deal with it in the final third.
We were poor overall. Have been most of the season, but we're a young side and the squad is small.
The poster who started that thread labels all opponents "puffs". Idiotic, yes, but not the specific dig at Brighton you might assume.
There may well have been some comments made to your fans outside the ground, but there was no homophobic chanting from the stands today that I heard.
I won't...
I think the odd thing was, your approach to the game gave us a bit of a spark. With nothing to play for, it's been flat at Turf Moor for weeks, but your players riled the fans and in turn gave our makeshift side a boost.
Not condoning the use if the term "puff", but the references to Burnley fans as being "inbred" and "retarded" hardly makes this forum seem the bastion of political correctness. Labelling an entire town as racist and homophobic, whilst chucking in a few threads about what a "shithole" Lancashire...
Amazing how two sets of fans can view the same game so differently.
I actually thought your players were particularly adept at trying to con the referee. The ref himself was generally poor, but there were no game changing errors. I'm not sure why Poyet felt the need to storm off.
We were pretty...
