Even i celebrated that goal today. Typical Tony, probably didn't want all the attention of a whole minutes applause so got his message a cross in a far better way.
Unfortunately i am on a five week work training course in Portsmouth so am not going to be able to make Thursday which is so annoying as having known him twelve years and been a regular on his prestonville golf days i would definitely of been there otherwise. I would though like to send some...
Most Palace fans would not of even been aware of the thread in the away fans forum as i certainly wasn't until i saw the above post as not a part of the forum i ever visit.
13 pages in less than 24 hours proves how special and well thought of you were mate.
However, Tony was a bit of a secret palace fan really. I remember one night in May a few years ago chatting to him at a massive Palace V Brighton fixture and his words were "kev i really hope your lot win...
Even though have known about the seriousness of his illness for a while it is still a massive shock.
Like others have said Tony really was one of the good guys. I have had the pleasure of knowing him for 12 years since REMF golf day in 2002 and have enjoyed so many of his Prestonville golf...
Was really saddened to learn this news last friday on one of Tonys excellent golf days he very kindly invited me to become a part of all those years ago.
Best wishes to Tony even from an Eagle and i really do hope you can beat this and we can have many REMF and Prestonville golf days to look...
Well pleased to set a PB at Brighton today by 27 minutes and running a time of 3:44 after having an aim of sub 4.
Wish I could give this up but considering I didn't do any long runs of over 18 in training I most definitely have a sub 3:30 in me.
I was one of the Marie Curie runners today in...
hopefully won't be me getting banned today but hope you really enjoyed the 2-0 and then our win on monday after the stick you gave me during the marathon.
I was stupid enough to sign up at the discounted rates at the marathon exhibition when picked up my pack yesterday. After today (my 3rd Brighton marathon) I don't wish to run another for along time.
I did stick 2 fingers up behind my head at you. Well done on your time aswell and getting round. Think I could be pretty good at this running malarkey if I could be bothered to put the training in.
Also very sad that one poor runner won't be going home to his family tonight.
Many thanks, i really do appreciate it and i have matched it aswell so it has been a very good evening for REMF and my marathon efforts. Maybe i should sit and watch the golf with ipad on my lap more often.
Many thanks to REMF chairman (Tony Langridge) for his donation.
With my £40 to be added (maybe more) then this has been a great day for getting this close to the £500 target.
