If you value it so highly, why don't you make him an offer? He's already stated a reason, yet you keep pressing him as if the sale was for a car with no V5!
Indeed. To avoid this scramble every week, maybe people should have to apply to a designated mod for this privilege. He could then allocate matches, perhaps based on the quality of recent posts.
They are more interested in the first match than the replay? What garbage! At first, I wondered why you had used the word recent; then I realised. You needed to exclude the one magical event which shoots your argument down in flames. It is, of course, this...
Don't you see what has been happening? Chopping and changing FA Cup traditions led to disrespect of the competition which meant weakened teams fielded, resulting in unwanted replays at non-League grounds. Your solution? start the cycle again by chopping those replays, depriving those two clubs...

So, the club starting with the disadvantage of being drawn away would be further penalised by having the extra time and maybe the penalties also on hostile territory. Do you not understand the romance of the FA Cup, the sort that granted a replay for Exeter City after drawing at Old Trafford...
When will the FA get it into its thick head that it is the changes it has already made that have led to its demise. It started off with moving fixtures to accommodate live TV, then televising the draw (and moving its traditional Monday lunchtime slot). Then, second replays were allowed to be...
If that is so, then happy birthday to the young lady in question.

In my emerging senility I was wondering why nobody rebuked this, but have only now remembered that the semis are indeed at Wembley! Doesn't seem right somehow. Still, the FA know best how to run their most prestigious competition.......
