    Stream for this evening

'English Championship' just refreshed the page. Wouldn't have made any difference otherwise as my connection is too slow even to stream 5Live (My good Android connection won't tether to XP). Thanks for trying, though.

    Stream for this evening

Where are you supposed to click on that page? I'm completely pissed off that I've missed the whole match so far.

Help! XPtether.inf shows in My Computer but not in 'browse to'

How do I tell if it supports wifi?

Help! XPtether.inf shows in My Computer but not in 'browse to'

I tried that. I also tried moving the file into one of those folders, but it still wouldn't appear in the 'browse to' window.

New licence plates for Sunday (waited 26 years to get these)

I know a bit about their repressive language display laws. I suspect that they would insist you had 'mouettes' on your plates instead! BTW I was also at that Hereford game in 1976. Did you stand on the terrace at one end and if so, do you remember a huge hole in the terracing near the back...

New licence plates for Sunday (waited 26 years to get these)

Won't 99% of the Canadians who notice it just assume you're a birder? :) I like the crown on them too! Do Quebecans have such a symbol on their's?

Help! XPtether.inf shows in My Computer but not in 'browse to'

My Mobile Broadband dongle has packed up and I need a way of tethering via USB cable otherwise it means a change of plan for Sunday PM. Its SIM works in my Android phone, but the problem is that my PC is still running XP (via Chrome) and XP requires a file (which is actually named tetherxp.inf)...

Sid would have been 57 today.

And the girl he probably murdered would have been 56 on Feb 27th.....

    Alien Abduction meeeting in Brighton

It's just such a lax attitude that led to the calendar getting seriously out of sync in the Middle Ages! They based the calendar on 365 days 6 hours, meaning that each leap day over-adjusted by 44 minutes and (about:)) 40 seconds. All those ¾ hours added up to a whole day every 128 years, so it...

    Alien Abduction meeeting in Brighton

I've only read the last couple of pages in curiosity as to why a thread title such as this could amass 24 pages! Actually the planet revolves around the sun; it only rotates about its own axis. The period to which you refer is a solar year, which lasts 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and about 50...

Huddersfield Town v Brighton and Hove Albion ****Official Match Thread****

Err... not quite all. And they're not results, either.

Huddersfield Town v Brighton and Hove Albion ****Official Match Thread****

BBC Radio Leeds just said "The Brighton fans, not known for a massive travelling support (especially at this time of year), have now found their voices"

"Equalizer for Brighton!" cried the Radio Leeds commentator, but in the next breath, "disallowed" :(

How can I use Orange voucher if I've smashed the new phone it came with?

In the small print on the voucher it states it can only be used in conjunction with the mobile phone it was purchased with. which presumably is the reason they are asking for the IMEI. I think this is unreasonably restrictive, as I think the credit should be applied directly to the SIM so that I...

How can I use Orange voucher if I've smashed the new phone it came with?

A couple of years or so ago I bought a brand new PAYG phone which I managed to tread on before I had even used it. I cannot make the screen change from this, so no characters will appear on it: I put it away but I've now looked at it again and remembered that it came with a voucher, which I also...

Don't say that, some of these good people might be disinclined to post working links in future!

Why can't I cook long grain rice as well as I can easy-cook?

Wow, such a myriad of suggestions! Do you mean just put it somewhere it won't damage (like a cold hotplate?) I followed this but it was only slightly better. I'll try a different one next time. That could refer to Manchester City :) Money's short too! LG rice has been 40p/kg in the main...

Brighton Hull is on ITV 4 tonight.

Might that be because you were watching on a CRT TV? I didn't go for flat screen when it came out due to the inferior definition, especially when panning across grass. Doesn't HD simply make up that deficiency?

Will Hull v Albion end up on ITV Player like Fulham v Sheff Utd did?

Thanks Easy. No more NSC for me until I've watched it!
