    [Brighton] Sammy Baldock

Hi guys, seen you haven't been doing the best of late which is unfortunate, but just wanted to get your opinion on Sam Baldock, as to whether he is just a passenger and part of your downfall, or if he is one of the shining lights in your team? I really hope the move works out for him if it...

I seem to remember CMS scoring a screamer as well. Adam was taken out of the firing line after continuous mistakes last season when he joined, but I am sure this was down to settling in, as he has proved at your club what a player he can be. He seemed to have settled down in Pre-Season, got a...

Why I said 'don't know whether to take this sarcastically or not,' seeing as I do not know what the poster is like, I pre-warned myself :lolol:

Very true. Baldock's success last season was largely down to his partnership with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (JET.) Opposing teams gameplans was always to double up on JET and get two players on him, so he tended to drift wide, freeing up space in the middle, and he ran riot.

With good service, Sam will get you goals. I am sure he will come good for you. Adam is an experienced player, and no doubt will be an influence on the many younger players we have in our squad. Like Baldock, I'm sure he'll play a part this season.

Don't know whether to take this sarcastically or not, but if it isn't, have to laugh at the way you judge players who have just came in less than a month ago, and have played little over 200 minutes of football :lolol:

Give the man time, he'll come good. The worst thing you can do with a player like Sammy is get on his back, he thrives on confidence. Allow him to find his feet, he'll score you plenty. El-Abd hasn't played much, played in the cup vs Oxford and did okay, but he is always under the cosh for the...

Hi lads. Just came on here to see how your new strikers Sammy is getting on. I've seen he's not been in the goals, but has he contributed a lot? Just want to get your initial thoughts on him. If he hasn't set the world alight yet, I'd advise you not to worry, as last season it took until...

As well as being versatile is Mark Little gets injured at RB, where El Abd or Flint could slot into the back 3.

Get a good enough replacement, and you'll be up there again. You seem to always sneak into the top 6 one way or another.

Seen Upson went, dissapointing for you, as he is still quality I believe. Was he out of contract?

I did find it strange none of you had heard of it until then, so possibly.

I must tell you boys, El Abd started the friendly today vs Portishead, and played very well, and seemed very settled, having a laugh with team mates in the warm up etc etc. I am prepared to give El Abd another chance, he wasn't a starter for your lot for no reason, and I believe a good...

Possibly you may not be able to offer the wages we currently can? I am not sure of your financial state, but the fact you get 30k a week, surely you can't be that badly off?

Like I said above, he is clearly happy and settled in the West Country, and also would rather be getting the same wages, to be a first team member in League One, rather than a back up in the Championship.

It may not have even be wages. I am sure he would rather be a first team member of a League One with the same wages you would of offered him, than a back up member of a Championship side.
