    Orlandi on Ulloa

From a midfield perspective we still lack that creative type which Orlandi was capable of being. As always it will be whether we can get someone less injury prone for less/similar money. I would like to see him back.

    Orlandi on Ulloa

Me too, always liked Orlandi as a player and person.

    [Albion] Monday or Tuesday???

I expect news today/tomorrow. Been a week since last holding statement saying we are now starting interviews, the very least we will get is process on going. I hope if it is announced we get Clement or Sherwood, rather than someone more bland.

I think that is why I am anxious this time round being able to vividly remember the Hinslewood train wreck. This has similar signs, manager leaving over budgets, no news from the club. Lets hope its not Jones and some kids from the DS to make up squad numbers and I am just paranoid.

    Congratulations Vitalijs

As it stands we are going need him to step up with no right backs, 2 centre halves and 1 left back only in the squad!!

It's easy to be critical of the op. But the facts are that we are currently without a manager and seriously short of players, with pre season just 3 odd weeks away. I tend to worry but I think that perhaps our targets are not taking the job due to budgets or similar and we may be unhappy with...

Are we trying to poach a manager or looking for currently unemployed?

Ordinarily I would agree with you but we have a squad which currently requires significant rebuilding and Burke can do all the ground work he wants but not many players will sign without knowing who the manager is and preferred style. Additionally we are lead to believe that the manager has the...

    Clarke or Sherwood

Must be high if this is the case, since Bloom said money no object as regards manager recruitment.

    Brian McDermott leaves Leeds

Guessing he wont be in the frame if the interviews have, as stated on the website, taken place. Not really for me just a bit bland, but I guess he has experience in this league which could be an appeal if the other candidates say no.

Are we trying to poach a manager or looking for currently unemployed?

If Clement is one of the choices will we not have to agree compo with Madrid? I guess he could resign, but Madrid do not have to accept. The other candidates would I believe be from those currently out of work. Does anyone else worry that the longer this goes the greater the possibility of a...

Leicester Bid £3 /£5/£7.5 million for Ulloa

As others have said his worth to us is probably more than his true market value and I wouldn't be looking for anything less than 10m, considering we will be left with one striker and our track record of replacing is poor. Would like to think the club wont sanction any sale until replacements are...

    Glenn Hoddle

Yes from me. Highly rated as a coach, able to bring on and develop youngest and appears tactically astute. When you think of some of the managers who have been high up in the betting, Mowbray etc, why would not take Hoddle when these are the choices?

    Manager by the weekend??

I see a couple of people have asked Brian Owen via twitter when any announcement is likely to take place and he claims no knowledge. Rather worryingly he compares this to the Hinslewood appointment as regards club lock down. Hope to god he is not hinting that he thinks Jones is in the frame. It...

Wish you wouldn't sit on the fence.

    Clarke or Sherwood

Totally this, Clarke is just bland and has a reputation for safety first football. Sherwood on the other hand.. One thing if we are now choosing from two out of work managers why is it taking so long?

    Steve Clarke

No from me. Honeymoon period aside at WBA, he won only 9 of his last 41 games including not scoring in the first four of the new season and losing 4 in a row before being sacked. Not great. never strikes me a Mr personality and his football, going on WBA forums, is viewed rather negatively...

    What will happen first?

Would the club risk releasing new kit details when the manager situation is up in the air. Don't they run the risk of a fairly flat reception since we are all awaiting bigger news? Unless of course release date is fixed and cant be delayed.
