With the squad being back this week, makes the need for new signings even more key since it would nice if they had time to work on tactics etc with the rest. And some news about calde etc would be good. All very quiet.

Assuming from the other thread that Calderon and Bruno have signed, my feeling is goalkeeper, left back (ward I hope), CB, attacking midfield/wide player and striker meaning 5 possibly 6, unless someone like maskimenko can step up. Like you I think movement before pre season would be good just...

Slightly off topic, looking at the squad list on the official web site it lists Bruno, Calde etc who have been offered contracts and also lists Ward but does not include any other of the loans from last year or Upson. Wishful thinking re Ward??

Not sure I would call it plenty of time. Pre-season starts in 2 weeks, so with no goalkeepers and limited defender number I would suggest that we need to be very active quite quickly.

Certainly seems to have lost that spark that marked his earlier career. Not sure I would be able to keep my enthusiasm up when getting 300k per week however I played.

why is it that people are always happy to let players go so easily from this club. We see the same on the Ulloa thread. Surely to build a promotion chasing squad we need to keep our better players, of which Buckley is one, rather than selling just because the offer sounds okay. We need 7/8...

He had a poor season as regards injuries and is regarded as a sick note but potentially one of the very few remaining match winners we have left at the club so no I wouldn't sell. Wouldn't it be nice to see some internet rumours about potential inbound transfer rather than just those leaving...

Totally underwhelmed by this. I hope he has seriously improved because I cant see how he is better than Casper or Brez. If this is the level we are looking at with regards new signings then I am worried.

Voted Hantz simply because of his longer record in management and that he has promotions on his CV, but truthfully I only know what I read on the internet so have no real idea. If these two are the supposed final short list it makes you wonder if some of the early names banded around like...

Bear in mind also that last year when it dragged on we had the basis of a decent squad in place, this year I am not sure we could field two 5 a side teams unless we played rush goalie.
