I prefer the stats that say
Stoke have 1 point from the last five and need 9 points from the next five
Southampton have 2 points from the last six and need 8 from the next six
This is a good calculator to see if the amount is reasonable, you need to estimate the cost of all 19 flats and total ground rent of all 19 but it will give you a guide. My daughters is just over £4k each with a 125 year lease (with 4 out of the 5 joining in)...
This is another thing, lease extensions for people who don't own a share of the freehold can cost tens of thousands of pound, those who do own it can do it for just legal fees either at the point of purchasing the freehold or afterwards
Better to be on the inside sharing the control than on the outside having to do and pay what you are told by the others - probably will had a bit to the value and you can save on ground rent.
If it isn't purchased within the current owners the developer will put it up for auction and who know...
I have just set up a company for my daughter. She bought a flat in a new conversion of five flats in total. The freeholders offered the freehold to the five flats of which 4 have agreed to purchase and we are just starting the legal process to get things sorted. My view was a freehold company...
I always thought the left was the homeowners, as you look out of the back door. Our neighbours on the right recently replaced theirs and didn't ask for a contribution. A year or so ago the neighbours on the left replaced one panel and asked us for 50% of the cost - win win
I would also look at...
People who think Southampton have a tough run in should remember only two of the teams they are due to play out of the seven have anything to play for (Leicester and Swansea)
Seem to me this whole study is another example of civil servants wasting millions of pounds of our money coming up with a pointless exercise.
Those doing the study are probably trying to work out what next to get paid for, maybe it the height pay gap next.
Exactly what me and my wife were saying this morning.
Using your analogy they are not even comparing women and men pilots they are comparing the airlines whole workforce so 10 male pilots v 10 lady cleaners is going to show quite a large pay gap
My only fear is Southampton are playing Chelsea and Bournemouth at home, both who's season is over and Arsenal, Leicester and Everton away again whos seasons are over. That five games against teams that won't be too bothered. However their fixture pile up will help.
