Alfreð Finnbogason could be a good option if the money is right. 27 year old Icelandic international. Scored 7 in 14 appearances for Augsburg in the Bundesliga where he was on loan from Real Sociedad for the 2nd half of last season. Could offer good cover for Hemed.

Talking of Scottish internationals. Charlie Mulgrew's contract is up at Celtic and according to an interview he's given he's not been offered a new contract yet. He's primarily a left back, but is also comfortable enough to play both as a centre back and in midfield. Might not be a bad option to...
Finished 6th last season so qualified for the Europa. 7th and 8th finishes seasons before. Wouldn't say they were a 'big' club but they definitely fit into the territory between being one and the middle ground.
Can't see Howe getting it. think he'll need to leave Bournemouth and join a mid level premiership club before he'll get seriously considered, also after Koeman and Pochettino the Soton fans would view Howe as a massive downgrade. Wouldn't be surprised if Unai Emery or Pellegrini took over given...

He's originally from London, but logically thinking Hull would be ideal for him as it'll mean that he won't have to uproot and yo would think they'll be able to offer a higher wage also.
Think (and hope) the Brighton link is just another case of lazy journalists seeing his contract is up, knowing he has worked with Hughton in the past and realising that as Greer has recently left we are now down one experienced central defender.
If there is something in it his past injury...
When the club signs a promising young players from the lower leagues for the development squad, someone will complain and will ask "Why aren't we setting our standards higher?" or / and why the club aren't concentrating on players for the 1st team.
Quick gander at one of their forums and it looks like a lot were hoping for Ryan Giggs... tbf there's not many managerial appointments in football where there won't be at least a small percentage of fans grumbling. Was even some here when Hughton was first appointed.
