[Cricket] England vs Australia Third Ashes Test - Leeds 22nd-26th August 2019

I had the tellybox on the Sky Ashes all day, couldn't be bothered with football. Ms SN asked me how we were doing

[Cricket] England vs Australia Third Ashes Test - Leeds 22nd-26th August 2019

I preferred batting to bowling, around 4 or 5 but I tended to end up joint open bowler and I always felt a bit crap and it wasn't my bag. I did once get given out to the most minuscule of minuscule edges off my bat once and didn't walk, I was ashamed of myself. I did walk eventually.

[Football] Right then. After that demonstration... VAR? Yes or No?

I could ask you the same question, who spoke of 'golden ages' other than you? Have you noticed your arguments are non technology?

[Football] Right then. After that demonstration... VAR? Yes or No?

I really don't get your argument, I assume you have followed football for many years? But you insist this is a better system than the 150 years of the game previously being played? What did you do before VAR? Yes, the same as all of us, call a bad decision. But we carried on to the next game, as...

I don't understand how you have been a football follower then.

And would that useless ref given us a pen for handball last season? Possibly. This season? Absolutely not. FIFA killing football since the 20s. By the way, totally agree with your comments.

So you are not an advocate of the human decision?

[Football] Right then. After that demonstration... VAR? Yes or No?

I actually thought Dan Burn was infringing as well as being offside, could have taken either decision. Clear cut for the ref and lino, but the monster in Uxbridge had to make sure... 2 minutes later...

Personally I believe it is 99% accurate, it just makes decision makers lazy though.

[Other Sport] Greatest English/British sporting moments ever

I heard a funny story involving her name. They use it in golf terms, probably 100% sexist. When you hit a badly low shot, ugly but runs well. Anyway, my mate was out on a round with a few people and someone called a Sally Gunnell. Young lad asked why it was called that and the aforementioned was...

Time was there was no internet and you didn't have to read/listen to drivel from people that just don't get football.
