[Football] If you score an own goal from a direct free kick...

Yep me too. You learn something new every day. Quite a strange one. I wonder what happens if the goalkeeper touches it before it goes in. I guess it would be a goal then??

Likewise also. It was so horrible I ended up apologising to a Wolves fan for it.😡

[Football] Would you buy a flexible Albion season ticket if you could?

Don't be so condescending. He/she is simply pointing out the norm that a season ticket is financially not the best solution if you can't make a third of games. If you you choose to have one anyway that's fine but the club is not obliged to offer more flexibility. As has been said a number of...

[Albion] Julio Enciso - Paraguay’s new wonder kid (Signed 17/06/2022)

I question the idea he would go to USG. I can't see any advantage for any of the parties in that. Given how well they are doing now I doubt he would get much game time for USG this season as a new young player. It's not like we can just tell USG they have to play him.

    [Albion] Dan Ashworth joins Newcastle

Of course such.clauses exist in fact before retirement as HR manager I used to write them. However, it seems to me far more likely that if he wants to go to Newcastle it has been agreed he won't go until the transfer window is shut. This would stop him "poaching" for now. It is highly unlikely...

Apologies but I can't understand this response? We can't have more than 9000 tickets whatever the total attendance might be. It's down to the home team for the rest.

[Albion] Fans' Forum follow-up on the season ticket sharing scheme

It's a lot easier to sell out a league game at 3000 than a cup game at 9000. As has been said the answer was probably between 4500 and 9000 but that option wasn't available.

[Albion] Loan bans for non homegrown under 21s from next season

Oops I just read the athletic news on this and apparently FIFA have clarified the change and the exemption only applies if under 21 AND home grown! So more of a problem for us than I thought!

    [News] Cycling rule changes.

I think as driver, cyclist and pedestrian the new rules get it about right. The tricky ones are the giving way to pedestrians when turning left and the priority for cyclists going straight on when car is turning left. Hopefully we will all learn to be more aware of those around us.

[Albion] Loan bans for non homegrown under 21s from next season

I agree it's the right thing. My reading of it says it doesn't apply to under 21's at all.

[Misc] It doesn’t really matter, does it?

Thanks for posting. I hope your wife continues her remission. Your post is a timely reminder of the continuing impact of covid on the vulnerable. Having now got covid and joking my entire household of six in isolation I can't begin to understand how tough things have been for you. Best wishes...

[Albion] Still showing Spurs as next game in my wallet

Frankly I have seen no one saying they have Chelsea on their ST and everyone saying Spurs so I'm not worrying. Perhaps all the threads on this could be merged?

    [Albion] Next Fixture Albion Spurs

If You look at the other threads you will see it doesn't matter as you will get in whatever it says. I think almost all tickets (including mine) are saying spurs at the moment.

    [Albion] Bridge Car Park

There is no reg number showing in details of my Google pay ticket for any match parking so how are they going to check ?

    [Albion] Bridge Car Park

You didn't for Palace either. I said elsewhere that when I bought parking for Burnley and Villa I only had to put registration in for one of them. Trouble is I can't remember which one and I might need to change cars. Even so I'm not sure the reg no is embedded in the ticket. Does anyone know?
