[Football] Mark Beard new Eastbourne Borough fc Fulltime Coach

Yep they've gone fully professional. Won't be the first you see like this and it wouldn't surprise me if Borough get a couple of Albion loanees. A season ticket there next year will set you back £275.

[Music] Glastonbury Festival 2023 - the thread

Looks like Arctic Monkeys will be playing tonight. I couldn't see them missing Glastonbury. Feel for the Irish fans though.

[Albion] Where is Moises going? (Chelsea - 14/08/2023)

Could be more to do with the fee rather than position. At least that's the only thing I can think of. Untied are strange though compared to other clubs. Whilst Liverpool and City sell their youth players for good fees, United don't. One case in point is they just sold a promising youngster to...

    [Albion] Orkun Kökçü rumour

I'm not sure how reliable this is to be honest. This is the Feyenoord equivalent of WeAreBrighton writing this with absolutely no sources.

[Music] Glastonbury Festival 2023 - the thread

I still reckon they'll go ahead and play. I wonder if cancelling the Dublin gig was a precaution rather than anything else. In fairness, they have been on tour constantly for the last few months with only a gap between their Asian tour and their Euro tour. They were fantastic in Hamburg.

[Football] Who will qualify for the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League?

I went there around 7 years ago as my first uni roommate was from there. Some parts were nice, others not. Wouldn't be the first place on my list that's for sure.

[Cricket] Official Sussex Village Cricket Thread

In Utrecht, about 25 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam. Midweek we usually play T20 and on weekends 35 overs. Our club is USV Hercules. Plenty of other teams around too if you want to combine it with a few other teams. :)

[Cricket] Official Sussex Village Cricket Thread

Going to hijack this thread; anyone here is still playing and fancies a tour with their team, feel free to send a DM to me. We regularly have touring sides over here in The Netherlands and we still have a few gaps between our usual schedule. We have 4 teams all at different levels so even if...

[Albion] De Zerbi interview on Bobo TV: "no team can change my mind"

That's a random one. Did they bring him up or did he? If he brought it up then I guess he may be spilling something he shouldn't have... :lolol:

    [Albion] Mike Trésor

If you want one, more than happy to arrange shipping for you! I think the majority of European clubs don't ship to the UK anymore, so my friends use me as a sort of middle man.

Unfortuantely, Willem II are well behind the standard at the moment. Great club though.

[Football] Eastbourne Borough ditch manager in favour of AI

I mentioned in the Non League thread that I wondered if Borough would go professional soon. I guess this answers a lot. Out of curiosity, does Greg want to stay at semi-pro level then? I know he's played league football before so he's clearly capable.

[Football] Eastbourne Borough ditch manager in favour of AI

Agree with this. It's just not an ideal place for a stadium. Yes, there's a lot of land round by Langley Sports for an expansion of the stadium, but the buses aren't great and people who go and watch Town and United won't suddenly go and watch Borough. I think everyone is happy with Conference...

[Football] Eastbourne Borough ditch manager in favour of AI

I'm curious too as the new owner, Simon Leslie, doesn't seem to have a background in this either. The board has done a lot of due diligence on him, with some of the board being solicitors themselves so I hope it doesn't end in tears. Would be great to see the Borough back up to the National...

[Football] Eastbourne Borough ditch manager in favour of AI

New owner putting his stamp on things. It's a real shame as Bloor has done a fantastic job at Borough, really turning them around from just surviving to fighting at the top end.

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2022/23 Edition

If anyone didn't know, Eastbourne Borough have just been taken over by a wealthy benefactor called Simon Leslie. He intends to get them up so I imagine this is just the first step.

    [Albion] Best Craig Mackail-Smith moment

The worst part was that their equaliser came as a result of Ankergren kicking the ball straight back to their keeper in the 94th minute

[Albion] Kacper Kozlowski: The Championship can f*** off

Just a quick one, the article says Eredivisie and it's automatically translated it to the premier league. But sounds like he wants another year here in NL. I would hope we would place him somewhere better than Vitesse in any case.

[Albion] PL 2022/23 Expectation vs Reality Table

I think it's done on how we fared compared to their pre-season prediction. As in, we exceeded expectations the most. Agree it's confusing.
