[Football] Road to World Cup 2026 - Official Thread

Battering Italy on xG in the final and losing 1-0. It is what it is. We'll take the positives and move on.

    [Music] Oasis - 2025

Given the likes of Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish are around £300 minimum nowadays, it's disappointing I'm sure but not surprising.

Surely they've dropped a massive hint by calling it a WORLD tour......? Also didn't they categorically state these would be their only European dates. Could still be true, of course...

Oh good idea. Hang on; boring overpaid talentless cloggers don't care waistcoat wanker - oh hang on. Tracksuit tosser?

[Football] Road to World Cup 2026 - Official Thread

It is the beginning of the road to the World Cup ultimately - you are (of course) aware of how Nations League performance can affect World Cup qualification, so no, they aren't completely separate competitions. I was intending this as the main thread for England games/chat between now and World...

WHO is Angel Gomes? Otherwise it's a fairly safe squad. I like the defensive options. And today is when I discovered Noni Madueke is English.

[Football] Road to World Cup 2026 - Official Thread

Fine, I'll get it going then. Interim England Manager Lee Carsley names his England Squad for the 2 Nations League games against Republic of Ireland and Finland today. Squad here; I'm curious if anyone here is planning on attending any of this appropriately SUPER SIZE World Cup - 4 games a...

Almost like there's just too much football at the top level nowadays.

Hang on, does that mean seeding so bigger sides can't face each other early on? :ffsparr:

Prepared to be gobsmacked. Demand will massively outstrip supply for the initial tickets, IMO.

[Albion] Julio Enciso - Paraguay’s new wonder kid (Signed 17/06/2022)

Fantastic talent, but I think still a little immature at times. It seemed obvious to me towards the end of his time on pitch that he was determined to get a goal irregardless of the best option on at the time, at least in a couple of moments.

Yeah but he'd just destroy him back so all good.

    [Albion] Crawley

I think the reason people were focusing on her was due to her links with Crawley. As you say, fans say worse every day, she isn't a fan, she is or was a coach at Crawley celebrating one of her team's players deliberately injuring another professional footballer.

[Music] Buying a turntable and speakers advice

Not really an issue - you can use the automated start/stop button but you can also move the arm manually, all good. Not to patronise but just to make clear - there's an UP/DOWN button - to lift and lower the arm, once lifted you can move it across to where you want to listen from, then press...

[Music] Buying a turntable and speakers advice

I have Edifier R1700BT speakers (approx. £130) and an Audio Technica LPX60 Turntable (approx. £140) and am very happy with my set up. Will upgrade the turntable one day but no rush. Just seen you can buy them together here...

I can see why Hurts would be big in Germany. If you told me they were German I'd believe you.

    [Music] Oasis - 2025

I would say "it's because they're aggressively british" but I've learnt my lesson so I won't be saying that. Depeche Mode are the sort of English band that Europe absolutely adores.
