on the money
poor taste - yes. but so was my mate when he wore a Jimmy Saville costume. or when some of us dressed up as suicide bombers for a stag do. or when people burn effigies of the Pope and others at Lewes bonfire. or the various jokes that get circulated when someone famous dies...
It was bad, but that's Spurs' problem/fault. Not Wembley or NFL who've had this arrangement in place for a long time.
Also, it's ironic too - given that Spurs have been courting the NFL to presumably usurp Wembley as the ground of choice.
And finally, why is it any more embarassing than when...
cheers - my lad is short though - and quite sensitive about it - even 122cm would be big, so hopefully he does some catching up. the reality is that i'll have to buy the 6-7 kit too.
first i asked why we don't supply a home kit aged 6-8 - didn't get a reply (this is a sales fail in my opinion)
and i asked if they'd be kind enough to honour the scheme and let him take a young kids 'non-kit' instead - but that apparently isn't possible.....
do i expect free stuff from the...
asked the club via email and they said this:
Unfortunately Young Seagulls shirts are ordered directly from our supplier Nike, and we are only able to order one batch of one size which is 8-10, this size is also the smallest size that we are able to choose from when ordering our own stock. The...
i actually like the Young Kids kits - without sponsor. My kids loved the ones I got them last year. Just seems strange that they have a product specifically for 7 year olds, and aren't including this in their scheme, aimed at 7 year olds!
Yes and the club won't substitute one for the other despite the fact my son won't fit the 8-10 shirt (for a few years i'd imagine)!!!
So I have a voucher to buy a shirt that won't fit my 7 year old. And will have to pay to buy him a shirt that does fit, and is stocked by the club for 7 year...
This is an amazing scheme in principle, and as it's my son's 7th birthday next week I was really looking forward to the benefit of using his Junior Seagulls voucher to get him a new shirt.
However, it turns out
- that the voucher is only available for home strip (that's fine)
- and the home...
out of interest, are there any pubs in Brighton/Sussex (i'm in Worthing) that get involved and televise NFL games other than the Superbowl? - sometimes it'd be nice to not just watch from a sofa at home, albeit the timings don't lend themselves that well.
i find it incredible that a dedicated kicker can't do both jobs really.
and as for the Browns and Vikings kickers...... WOW. i doubt either has more than one game to turn it around.
just listened to Out of Nothing on YouTube - nice sound. Speaking as a non-expect, sounds like it'd benefit from a revisit to sound engineer (bass seems a bit low - get a fuller sound etc).
This. Last year AK struggled in the first half of the season to showcase why he'd been Championship player of the season, and the net result was often a lot of sulking on the pitch - which I don't think does him much credit. He did have some outstanding games later in season, but this...
I take the point
Regarding the difference between Championship and Premier League though, I often feel (with exception of the top top players) the real difference for most is not talent, but consistency. Knockaert regularly delivered in the Championship but in Premier League it's been here and...
agreed, they're slim. but it would be silly to rule out someone simply because they're not in top league (especially with transfer windows limiting movement). but i can't really think of examples in recent years that would've necessitated bringing in a Championship player.
if the player is relatively young and making a big impact, then why not pick a Championship player? they could well be on the radar of Premier League clubs - who just haven't bought them yet.
this thread maybe tongue in cheek, but you're actually on to something. i wonder what scope there is to play with game format and be innovative (you could sell it to the FA/FIFA as a useful testing ground for new ideas) - giving the tournament something distinctive.
sad truth is that even...
