Jose Izquierdo - ALL CONFIRMED - NEW RECORD SIGNING

On the work permit front I would be optimistic we can get this done. Colombia are ranked 8th in the FIFA list, it's a club record fee and he's played the last 2 games internationally.

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

We've put in a real shift just to contain them but I have some big concerns about fullback quality and a general lack of pace (izzy excluded) throughout the side. Blunder aside Ryan had a good half! Like to see Solly and AKA get some minutes.

    Aleš Matějů SIGNS August 4th

Have heard we expected to sign another right back last week who was over 21 and would have been part of the 25 man squad. No chance with that player now but it could be a bit of a bonus if the Czech lad is up to standard and doesn't require a squad place.

    Absolutely gagging for a striker.....

It's appalling to be so close to the season and still in this position. I would actually say Izzy Brown is currently our best bet as starting striker if we intend to maintain the formation from our friendlies. Sure he's still developing and hasn't perfected the position (largely due to his...

    Friendly v Norwich

As it stands I am not feeling confident at all but we should still easily exceed the Derby total. For me, it is absolutely vital that we bring in genuine quality in at least 3 positions. We are in desperate need of another left sided attacking option, a goalscorer who can thrive as a lone...

    Friendly v Norwich

Kayal is putting in a real shift, good to see.

    Friendly v Norwich

As predicted Murphy makes way for Brown and Bong comes in at left back. Big improvement needed on that flank.

    Friendly v Norwich

Based on that half we need those 3-4 players to make a big improvement. Norwich are playing at a high tempo and obvious weak spots are ball retention from Murray while Murphy is struggling to impose himself on the left. Can see Izzy getting the chance to improve that area second half.

    Southend, Who's coming?

We've played some lovely stuff on a tricky pitch and should have had a couple more. Gross, March and Brown looking very tidy with good width provided by the full backs. Stephens poise on the ball also standing out. Get another 15 minutes in and bring in some of the younder lads.

[Albion] *** Izzy Brown season long loan confirmed***

Pleased with this. Pace and versatility in attacking areas. Looked good at both Huddersfield and a dire Rotherham side so already used to battling it out in pressure situations.

    Norwood to Fulham on loan?

Can't see the point in loaning him out for a year instead of selling. If we go down, he'd again be a decent option at championship level but where is the incentive for him? It would be clear he's not rated as an option at Premier League level. Sell now and free up some funds/wages.

    Who would you sign?

I think realistic options would be Che Adams, Kenneth Zohore and an alternative to Neto/Delaney in midfield.

Our complete list of transfer targets

Saw a lot of Zohore and he fits perfectly for 1 up front. Good physical presence, touch and pace. He really improved as the season went on and getting in quick on him would be a smart move. If he sustains his improved form he will attract a lot of attention.

    Hemed to Reading?

I reckon Tomer will be ok in the premier league but 5-6m plus his wages off the book while loaning a more established striker like Ulloa makes sense to me. Especially with just a year on his contract.

[Albion] There is ZERO chance of SIGNING anyone today.

From the outside it does appear we've wasted significant time chasing signings that had little chance of succeeding. My fear is that we are down to choice 3 or 4 on the priority list now and the club may be tempted to let it go to the wire and hope better options become possible. I can...

Seagulls Player for the Crawley friendly

Eventually succeeded in signing up today (which should have been a warning of the shambles to follow) and only got as far as blank screens when the watch live option actually ended up appearing. That's with 3 browsers on 2 devices with varying errors being the only difference. I will be...

Seagulls Player for the Crawley friendly

I also tried upgrading to the paid version to get this match but the system constantly falls over when attempting this. I work in software and it's appalling that basic functional testing hasn't been completed. No chance I'm paying for this shite now.

    Huddersfield signing EVERYONE...

Early recruitment massively benefited them last year. 1 or 2 decent defensive signings and I reckon they will very competitive.

    McLaren.....next to go ?

With Huddersfield still to play it would be very nice to see Rowett's appointment drive an initial improvement similar to the one Schteve enjoyed. With the talent they've got and Johnson, Keogh and Johnny Russell to return they should be capable of a drastic improvement.
