I'm certainly not saying he hasn't improved, but quite clearly we've improved in a lot of ways. To say a slight improvement in the goals tally by Maupay is the difference is ludicrous. That's the life of a pundit I guess... they need to make something complex sound simple
We also may have that lad from Turkey coming in, and Mitoma coming back from USG. I sense a slight changing of the guard this off-season and it really wouldn't surprise me to see us cash in on Trossard too
His contract doesn't end before 2023.
I have a feeling Bissouma and Trossard will be sold in the summer. I'm surprised more hasn't been said about Trossard
All of these players have contracts running out in 2022 or 2023. Who do you think will still be with us after the summer transfer window? There's a lot of contracts to be sorted that's for sure.
Danny Wellbeck
Yves Bissouma
Leanardo Trossard
Neal Maupay
Billy Arce
Shane Duffy
Pascal Gross...
Seems harsh to me too. The second wasn't a booking in my eyes. I have no problem with what the ref did in terms of two yellow cards so quickly, but the second just didn't seem an offence strong enough to warrant a second yellow
He has definitely said he prefers the left, but of course you could be right that the manager prefers him on the right. Is it worth buying someone just for the remaining games this season when we have Clarke, Van Hecke and Ostigard coming back though? I don't think it's lilkely personally.
People seem to forget that Webster prefers playing on the left. I would be very surprised if we bought a new centre back with so many returning at the end of the season
