At best it is creative accountancy at worse we are heading for oblivion unless we get to the prem soon.
Which we won't with the current squad which needs investment.
It's all very well building expensive infrastructure but only if the business can support it.
It seems currently that we can't.
We were told that the break even figure was budgeted at 15K. You have to wonder what is going on.
We seem happy to spunk money on expensive fancy infrastructure, furniture and fittings but harp on about FFP and losing 1m a month.
Seems to me we have prem spending levels off the pitch.
I'm not in total disagreement, just think he has been given one of the most average and one dimensional forward lines in the division.
Cardiff were there for the taking as were Blackpool. The fact that we still couldn't beat either is very worrying.
I would have gone for a proven Championship...
If our forwards don't start firing or if we don't bring in a proven goalscorer at this level we will struggle.
We play some nice attacking football but lack any cutting edge, this then makes any mistake at the back look calamitous.
Hypia has got us playing attractive football but the...
There has been the odd flash but basically he's a good league 1 forward.
Barnes offered more than CMS, had the same goal return at this level and also brought overs into play. COG would also offer this but TBH is half the player Barnes was.
There keeper was good but he had a chance with all of them, how often did we put it in one the top corners etc
Some great play last night but let down again by quality in the box.
Teams who don't score go down however well the general play maybe.
There were several occasions last night (and through out his time here for that matter) where his poor touch on the edge of the area meant that he was unable to create the space/opportunity to shoot.
A decent championship striker would have.
Stockdale 4
Bruno 8
Greer 7
Dunk 6
Bennett 7
Gardner 6
JFC 6.5
Holla 7 Good game
Tex 6.5 Some great stuff but also over played in the wrong areas at times
Lua Lua 6 A threat but more dangerous when playing wider
CMS 4 Poor touch, if not scoring offers nothing else
O'Grady 6 Not a...
TBF the North Stand at the Goldstone was much louder than the Amex.
Yes are you right though, the Goldstone was never a bastion of noise unless we were doing well.
(In response to Sir Albion)
The crowd was united at this time and we were going forwards improving every time.
We got beat by our biggest rivals at home and lost the figurehead and person who has steered us on the pitch forwards.
Ever since then the atmosphere has emptied like a balloon IMHO...
This is true but it's because people are not convinced by what we are doing or what's going on.
Club needs a strong figurehead and some decent signings to get the crowd going again, there is a big hangover still from the Palace game and Gus leaving. That void has not been filled.
The masses...
