Oh, you know, the post-modern ironic ones. You can't go out on a Thursday night in Kemptown without tripping over at least one.

[Albion] Abuse in Football: How Brighton are tackling fan behaviour [BBC Sport]

I recall the word 'attacked' and / or 'assaulted' being used. I am indeed aware that assault does not necessarily have to be physical, but in non-physical cases this is normally specifically mentioned, i.e. 'verbally assaulted', 'verbally abused' etc. I didn't witness any of the events...

[Albion] Abuse in Football: How Brighton are tackling fan behaviour [BBC Sport]

I think it's worth remembering that some of the victims of the recent violence have been club employees, as well as fans. Not sure some of the more cynical on here would be quite so cynical if similar happened to some of their colleagues whilst they were just doing their jobs.

No need to apologise, it almost made me smile.

[NSC] To me it feels like NSC has rather lost it's way.

At Chez Les we now refer to it, in Cockney rhyming slang stylee, as 'going for a Jurgen', in honour of the best grin in football.

Thank you. Maybe a case of two birds with one stone? The PR could certainly have been handled a bit better in hindsight. Personally I think it overly cynical to accuse either dictates as being purely commercially driven, but I accept that fits some fan's world view when it comes to PB...

[Albion] Abuse in Football: How Brighton are tackling fan behaviour [BBC Sport]

There's a degree of truth in that, certainly 'goes with the job'. I do though think that PB genuinely believes he is working for the greater good of the club, and that he is sincere in that regard. That doesn't mean I agree with everything he does or says, but I think he has been turned into...

Ok, thanks. Don't suppose you have a link to anything where that is officially stated please? I like to know these things for sure if I'm going to pass further comment on them.

Sorry to labor the point (and continue the off-topic direction), so was it counter terrorism related then, as that's what you seem to be suggesting now?

I must admit I haven't seen that stated anywhere officially, but I may have missed it if it was. Strange though, as the two items are usually restricted in most venues for the same reason - the ability to mix chemicals in them and turn them into a bomb.

Were they? I thought the bottle top and flask rules were counter terrorism-related, as they are in most venues.

How has a good article that speaks volumes about what a decent and progressive club we support been turned into another load of Bottle-top-gate nonsense? Asking for a friend.

    [News] Liam neeson

I don't think anyone has suggested the act or intention to act itself wasn't racially motivated to some degree, rather the question that does this define Neeson as a racist, and whether he should be hung out to dry for admitting what he has? Given the right conditions we're all capable of acting...
