Good player and I'd forgive fir last year. However it's all about value and who we can persuade to want to come to Brighton. My guess is that he may now cost too much and we can do better. However CHs comments suggest that he still likes him.
Belated update to this timeline -
Belatedly catching up-
On 19 April 1997 we were away at Cambridge and drew 1-1. I wasn't at the game and can't find any reports so any memories would be much appreciated.
On the same day the team that had seemed like our target to catch, Hartlepool won 2-1...
You dont get as much as you might think for £15m for a striker these days. I'm not a football tactics expert just a fan, but it seems to me that Wood has done really well in an average team. He's clearly grown up since he played for us, so criticisms then are unfair and irrelevant. Whether he...
Thank you for the comments. Those who hurl abuse should reflect that we don't know where we will be in one, five or even twenty years time. Enjoy the moment and take the lead from CH with his consistent polite and respectful behaviour. I for one am sorry that Middkesborough appear to be going...
Good of you to grant the he "deserves a season in the premiership"! We know next year won't be easy. It wouldn't be easy for ANY manager. History shows that sacking Hughton at Norwich and Newcastle didn't show him up as a bad manager at all. It is possible that his tactics at Norwich were a bit...
The background to this is the long running feud between the Sun and the people of Liverpool over its Hillsborough coverage. The Sun is not sold in many parts of Liverpool and this article reflects the way in which the Sun despises Liverpool. I am not a true scouser, I was brought up in Sussex...
On 12 April 1997 Albion were at home to league leaders Wigan. On the face of it we had no chance. They had beaten us 1-0 away from home. However this was the season for miracles and we won 1-0, with a goal by Maskell and a great performance by Minton. However the real stars were the crowd with...
Newcastle can get a maximum of 99 points. We can get 101. We probably need one more point than them unless we overhauled the goal difference. I think they might get 95 points.
you can predict the final table fir any league at

You can choose which teams you want to put in results for and the predictor fills in its own predictions for the rest of the results.
I agree this is premature. However I would be positive about Sidwell IF he wishes to stay and I really believe we should keep Hunemeier - again if he wants to stay. It's not the time yet to discuss who should go.
Just got one this afternoon. It hadnt occurred to me that these would be available until I saw this thread. I guess the late kickoff and distance from Brighton makes it awkward and expensive. There have to be some advantages of living up here!
I guess the Falmer trains have got even busier than usual recently. We don't want to rush off early after the Wigan game, but what time should we be in the train queue to be confident of getting a 6.35pm train home from Brighton station?
This will be our first game this season and although I've been many times to the Amex It will clearly be very busy. We're coming down from Liverpool and going back the same day by train. The last sensible train leaving from Brighton station is at 6.35pm. We don't want to rush off as (or before)...
Can we (and the club) remember this thread if we are struggling next season. That will be a very different challenge. Whatever the results Hughton should not be sacked....
Perfect week - and I'm coming down for Wigan. I suppose to be greedy it could have been Newcastle who lost 7-1 to remove their goal difference advantage! I'd give it all up for our safety 20 years ago though
