Re: Spanish Dave - what exactly does he do?!
No need to apologise although the gesture is much appreciated.
Even though Dave did some time at right back in the Newcastle game and set up the Hoskins goal, The Millwall at home game was Dave's turning point. Wood had battered us and Gus took...
It looks like its guessing rather than being linked. More stuff than u think is publicly available unless u make the time to shut it all down.
I expect u can manually nominate a photo to over ride it etc.
I'm still in borough but I'll have a look tomorrow as Captaininbox on twitter :o
I expect when we're in the prem away games will be a little more appealing to more people. While riverside is quite new it ain't no falmexia. However, a Peter's pie and a bottle of carlesberg was only 3.10 if I remember rightly.
Re: Spanish Dave - what exactly does he do?!
Great thread!
At the very start Dave really was a bit lost.
Whenever he got the ball back to goal he'd take far too many touches and slow the play down, got muscled off the ball and wasn't placing the long balls or free kicks as well expected...
Until I saw the pictures it felt like a lot more. We made a lot noise non-stop for 90 mins.
It was great how much Gus and the players showed their appreciation too. I felt great to be part of it.
I think this pic does the attendance a bit more justice
Really pleased for him, didn't look shaky, confident as always as the sweeper whilst in possession but didn't hesitate when coming for the ball.
I think Greer and Upson needed that early on and they ask got better as a unit.
while koosh is still the better keeper he's not as good with the ball...
I'm constantly pleased by Crofts ball control, a couple of times today he held off 3 or 4 players while carrying the ball. I've seen it a few times this season.
I'm also pleased by the way Crofty sticks to the middle of the park, where as Hammond can often chase the space up to the far corners...
Funnily enough apart from the goals, the weakest players on our team for posession and decision making on and off the ball seemed Orlando dave and Hammond,
However,
Bridge kept wanting to send Orlandi flying down the wing, Orlando didn't have the legs so wanted the ball to do the work, so...
Re: Leicester v Birmingham Tonight:
Sadly I think I cheered more for Birmingham's goals last night against Leicester than Kaz's.
Kaz's was more out of desperate relief mind you :o
Kaza is obviously right footed but can do OK on his left while on the run much of the time. Also he's not a fan of running onto the ball but would rather stand still and wait for the ball to feet back to goal, much to Bridgey's inconvenience.
I can't help but think that if Gus had put Kaz on...
According to their Twitter, "Two Choices" are playing Dick's bar after the game
"If you're heading out to the Brighton vs Leicester game tomorrow then come and see us at Dicks Bar after as we're playing!!"
(Twitter / twochoicesband: If youre heading out to the ...)
I've never heard of them...
