What??? You're going to spend more money!!

There was a thread on here recently that said that the fines might not be distributed to clubs that meet FFP, but will be donated to charity.

    Steve McClaren

A colleague at work is a Derby ST holder. Oh how I laughed when McLaren took the job and Oh how he has laughed at me every Monday morning of late! McLaren has done a very good job, no doubt. Clough was a donkey of a manager, McLaren's performance at Derby and Clough's at Sheffield United prove...

Devon watches - Incredible innovation or flatter to deceive?

I like a nice watch but there is no way I could justify spending £1000s on one. Skagen are my current favourite, simple, slim and affordable. I was in a restaurant some time ago and the subject of watches was being discussed. Coincidentally, there was a colleague also wearing a Skagen watch...

    The goals here.

Thanks; don't have Sky so didn't see the match.

    Vettel the best ever?

I would like Vettel to win a few more titles, races, pole positions and fastest laps, if only to remove that cheat Schumacher from the record books! But is he the best ever? Of course not, he has just benefited from driving some of the best cars ever. In terms of absolute talent then Senna and...

Seems the 70's 80's was some sort of golden era for football?

I remember watching MOTD and George Best rounded the keeper and shot towards the empty goal. He turned away to celebrate another fine goal so didn't see the ball stop in the sticky mud and the defender come across to hoof it clear. Yes, fine days indeed! :lolol:

    How stressed are you?

    5. But some of the questions are rubbish; the reason I'm disinterested in some of the stuff going on around me is because it is dull and uninteresting, not because I am stressed!

Doncaster v Brighton - in pictures

I was going to take a photo of the Welcome poster in the toilets, but thought it was somewhat dodgy to get a camera out in there!

Advice appreciated - puppy or rescue dog......

Very hard to generalise with dogs,as how they have been treated will determine their character. I would always choose a puppy as I would know exactly how they have been brought up; we got our current dog at 7 weeks old and he is now over 7 years old and has been a wonderful pet. As for breeds...

    Wigan away

I got my Wigan tickets via Tickets for Troops; £3.50 for a pair. Usually, football tickets are for home supporters only so a big 'Well done' to Wigan for making away tickets available.

    Band name meanings/bands original names

I seem to recall that Ian Dury and the Blockheads were called Kilburn and the High Roads (or something like that).

Doncaster Rovers look forward to welcoming you to the Keepmoat

I stayed there earlier this week (was in Doncaster for the Paul Weller gig); very nice but not exactly cheap and cheerful. It was full of the Cook Islands Rugby League team over for the RL World Cup so there were a number of very large fellas walking round in t-shirts and shorts. Mrs T seemed...

Worst experience as a dog owner?!

Our lurcher is Greyhound-Saluki-Collie cross and we used to meet a female Saluki when walking on Stokes Bay at Gosport, occasionally with one or 2 other Greyhounds. Awesome to watch 3 or 4 dogs running together at up to 40mph! The Saluki could outrun anything and yet looked so delicate.

Worst experience as a dog owner?!

The Saluki is the most elegant, graceful and fastest dog I have seen. The only dog that could outrun our lurcher.

    Live Music 2013

Went to see Paul Weller last Tuesday in Doncaster and tomorrow I'm off to see From the Jam (featuring Bruce Foxton) in Sheffield - Weller was good but From the Jam should be fantastic!

Your Favourite film of the year - so far.

I've seen a few good ones this year and am looking forward to Captain Phillips. But the best, by some margin, was Rush. Even Mrs T, who has no interest whatsoever in motor racing, said immediately afterwards that it was 'brilliant'.
