Every game is a cup final now.
The group of players need to find another gear and fast as we seem to have become stuck in 2nd gear.
Need to renfind the concentration levels at the back and the midfield needs to have a real impact on a game. Our central midfield looks unmobile and predictable...
When I say impact I mean enough really give us a good chance of staying up.
From what I have seen only GrosB most consistently and Izy in patches have made a real difference. Propper has done ok but is hampered by a lack of quality or mobility around him Suttner and the Greyhound have been up...
I would agree on ,Grosb he has added goals and assists for a value price
Suttner and schletto are ok based on the small fee but have not made much of a difference imho
Ryan good shot stopper and passer but I do think his size is one of the reasons we concede a fair few from set pieces
Interested to knows people's thoughts on this?
Personally don't think the spine of the team is much better than last season.
Hopefully Locadia does and brings out the best from others.
I think we are the victims of trying to be to clever and trying to sign players we have little chance of securing. Personally would have been happy signing players from the championship that are better than what we have.
It appears to me we had an unrealistic list of Striker targets (FC Zurich lad exempt) that either did not want to join us or the clubs were unwilling to let go if so they should never have been on the list. We never going to sign a dutch international playing for Spurs at this stage.
To my mind...
To many players unproven in English football and no strikers signed = major potential **** up
Think we have been trying to be to clever and by default naive in the extreme.
Going to be like climbing Everest now to stay up
Unfortunately I think our signings to date will bomb out, all poor or not the players you need to compete at prem level in a very average team. I'm hoping the Colombian will be an exception.
Given the business we have done I think we will struggle to mount a relegation scrap.
Hope I'm wrong.
Our new signings don't really look like cutting the mustard. Ryan looks like a very bad buy and Propper and Gross way out of their depth.
Hopefully they improve but th prem is brutal and they won't get time to settle into a team getting beat each week.
Ryan - 7
Bruno - 8
Duffy - 7
Dunk - 8
Suttner - 7
Propper - 5
Stephens - 5
Brown - 5
March - 7
Gross - 6
Hemed - 5
Murphy - 5
Murray - 5
Knockaert - 6
Desperately lacking an outlet to help get us up the pitch and to play the limited football we had higher up the pitch. Good disciplined...
People will still by French and German cars because people desire them, you really think paying a little more will stop stone buying an audi, Mercedes, volvo etc
Cars manufactured here will go up to because the supply chain is pan european.
The loss of manufacturing is one of the route causes so man feel left behind. Every town would have had manufacturing manual skilled jobs ideally suited to the those that now feel abondened an left behind.
I really don't see how leaving the EU and wanting to be closer trade wise to China...
Brexit is like waking up in the morning going to the bookies and putting all your money and possessions on a bet that at best can only give you back what you have on a win basis and then going home knocking on your neighbours doors telling them they are all a bunch of twats and then expecting to...
What worries me is that we didn't have more signings lined up a few weeks back given our early promotion.
We are in dire need of a right back, left sided midfielder and IMHO 2 up top.
Without these we will certainly be favourites for the drop.
Haha yes, well maybe adopting a physical approach will be the answer :-) plus wages will be cheaper and fit with the clubs way of thinking on these things
