I can’t fault Nrown’s attitude from what I’ve seen - and I think he’s got a lot of talent. However in the end he hasn’t contributed a lot to our season. If (god forbid) this turns out to be a serious injury that puts him out for the season, then he would go back to Chelsea for treatment. Could...
Krul - 6.5 can’t failult the performance but didn’t look entirely confident
Schellotto - 7 another good performance. - If only his ball control wa a bit better
Goldson - 6 gave the ball away a few times otherwise good
Hunemeier - 7 good performance abd made the goal
Bong - 7 good performance...
I don’t understand sentencing at the moment. Some crimes are getting huge long sentences and others seem relatively short. This is an example of someone somehow should serve a longer sentence
I also think we ideally need another striker. However a signing as late as deadline day might make little difference. Our key fixtures are all in January and February. With a week or two to settle in, it would be too late. We might have to go with what we have got and hope fur the best. The time...
For home games or games where we need to attack, play Izquierdo just behind Murray with March and Knockaert on the wings. Alternate Gross Stephens and Propper in the middle depending on the state of the game.
I think that we will see replacements for Murphy and Skalak. (I’m not sure of Baldock’s status as I thought he would have come on as a substitute by now). Hopefully we will keep Dunk until the summer (but could Southampton come calling for Duffy, Dunk or even Goldson to replace Van Dijk). Long...
Ryan 8 MOM
Dunk 8
Duffy 7
Bruno 8
Bong 7.5
Stevens 6
Propper 6
March 5 not adventurous enough
Knockaert 5 a few touches early on but faded
Gross 6
Murray 5 not quick enough
None of us can know what the club is planning. However a few things are different than the summer
1. The pressure to sign a striker this time has certainly increased. It was noticeable that everyone at the club admitted to disappointment in August. The fans were certainly very disappointed.
2...
Going up from Liverpool by train on Friday and can’t wait ! It’s our one chance to get in the away end this year. For years I’ve gone to all northern away games, but as non-season ticket holders we are ending up buying expensive tickets to sit on our hands in the home ends this year. The away...
By the end of February we will have played our second match against seven of the eight teams currently below us in the table (the exception bein Palarse). It would seem that by then our chances of staying up may be sealed. The home games v Bournemouth, Swansea admnd West Ham will be particularly...
I enjoyed the 6-1 at Liverpool. Four own goals including a classic from Dunk and a great free kick from Kazenga to make it 1-1. When he scored I was trying to stay quiet in the Liverpool end - and then 4 Brighton supporters went up right behind me. I didn’t even know they were there!
We can only have one more loan and can’t have another from Chelsea. We need to use this loan to the very best effect that we can. It’s a really important decision for the club. Having Krul in one of the loan slots was far from ideal.
I agree that tough games come in patches and it’s hard to judge where teams really are relative to each other. However we are coming up to the half way point where teams have played each other once. At that point (if you swap the Chelsea and Watford gages we will probably be close to bottom...
