Yep, it's like I said earlier in this thread, Chelsea have been totally naive. They got rid of all of their midfielders before they had their replacements leaving them in a really weak negotiating position and now a bit desperate. The complete opposite to how a well run club like ours operate...
Chelsea are clueless at this negotiating lark. They got rid of all their centre midfielders and are now trying to push out Gallagher before they’ve signed their replacements. They’re getting desperate and we know it. Shit, joke club.
Fully appreciate it was a friendly, but watching the game last night, I would say it was pretty obvious that Chelsea need another centre midfielder and we need another, ideally left sided, centre back! Both teams looked weak in those positions.
I’m hoping we can do a deal that involves a swap...
Christopher Vivell? Really? Where did you hear that?
Edit - just seen it. Wow! To be fair though, how many heads of recruitment and technical directors do one club need and still get it wrong time and again! Basket case club.
It’s only a saga in the minds of us impatient online fans with nothing else to focus on in the off season. It’s just going through a process.
Next week is still July with over a month to go until the end of the transfer window so I can’t see that happening.
Are Brighton fans and Chelsea fans having a battle this summer to see who can be the most offended about transfer bids for their players?!
Very amusing watching all of this pearl-clutching from both sides.
Maybe he should be throwing his toys at the agents who agreed to sign a new deal without a release clause just 6 months ago!
Honestly, Chelsea and Caicedo and his reps deserve each other. The sooner Chelsea pay the £100m and they all f*** off the better.
I don’t think Man Utd is realistic with or without McTominay on top. They’ve got limited funds but have just wasted £55m on Mount, will sign Onana for circa £40m and they still desperately need a striker.
They would need to shift a load of their squad to afford Caicedo but will struggle as they...
And Colwill is way ahead of White when White was his age. Plus Colwill can play in a back 2 at the top level which White can't.
White is a quality all round footballer and great to have around a team/squad because of his versatility but Colwill is already a better centre back than White and has...
Having gone for and then backed out of Rice so they are clearly looking for another CM, I am amazed City are not in for Caicedo.
The only reason I can think is that different to Chelsea and United, they are good negotiators. They have limits and are very sensible about the price they play for...
To quote some dullard from an Athletic piece:
I don’t see too much reason why they should be worried about FFP,” says Kieran Maguire, finance lecturer at Liverpool University and co-host of The Price Of Football podcast. “They’ve spent a lot of money in the last couple of seasons and look as...
As @Weststander has pointed out a few times, Arsenal should be challenging now based on their spend over the last 2 years and they’re likely to top £200m this window. The genius of Mikel Arteta has been well and truly bankrolled.
Quietly they are mega spenders.
If Romano is so bad and just makes stuff up, why do so many of you get your knickers in such a knot about him?!
You can just ignore him rather than obsessing about him constantly in EVERY transfer thread. He’s the most talked about person on this site, it’s wierd.
