Haha have seen the early Sunday morning of a 24hr track race?! That velothon race was positively joyful compared to some of the half dead souls shuffling around the track
Advice please; best trail shoes that can handle mud mud mud.. Steyning Stinger levels of mud plus rocks !? These Welsh hills obv don't drain as well the Sussex chalkies..
Get to checkpoint 3 ( I think) early for the sausage rolls.. I used to judge if your on track, time wise, by meeting the Bagpiper at various points and the amount of sausage rolls left! Have fun.

Good luck with that, it's a great race. It's well worth the struggle.. the first half will fly by, just have something in the tank for last 7ish miles. I might pencil it in for a birthday treat for 2018
