I have never seen our wide players have so much time on the ball. Montoya, Trossard, Mooy and Gross had miles of space as Palace was playing so compact. I guess they were giving us the wide spaces cause they thought we couldn't score on a cross given our forwards' height. Glad that we did...
Totally agree. Considering how much pressure he must have been, playing his first minutes of the season, he did alright. Certainly better than Murray and on par with the rest of the squad.
I may be wrong but I don't think filling the team with generalists, or versatile players as you put it, works at the highest level of soccer. It may work at lower levels and might even work at Championship league but at highest level, you need specialists that are the best at their position...
I am just going to list them from worst to best:
Trossard - not affective and he did not hustle enough
March - was hoping that ball was not passed to him and when it was, he treated it like hot potato
Webster - First game back... maybe next week, we can have old Webster back
Stephens - typical...
Are you???? What certificate do you hold that makes you an Albion supporter? Again, this is not your fraternity and I am not going to go through a hazing process by you or any of your buddies here to become a member... Enough already!!!!
Wow, great detective work there. Genius really you and darkwolf666. Why would a Palace fan come on here and ask for a 36 year old ineffective Brighton forward not to play. Wouldn't I want him to play all the time?
Please stop acting like this forum belongs to you and be open to hearing...
Murray should not even be on the bench going forward. Potter needs to made the tough decision. Bring on more youngsters for now. Give Jahanbakhsh a chance. Just no more Murray please. Wish he had retired last year while on top. Hopefully he can find a managerial role in the club.
I don't think Trossard, Maupay and Connolly are forced to play full back like Jahanbakhsh was last year. And March has a total of 2 goals in 80 PL appearances!!!
In my humble opinion, he was complete shit. I think if Jahanbakhsh had played like that, this whole forum would be asking for his head... I feel March is blindly loved by most on this forum for some reason.
Given that Maupay and Trossard standing on top of each other won't be as tall as Burn, we have a fighting chance of the refs counting the two as one player and getting us down to 11 players!!!!
Agree completely with your play ratings, and the fact that it was our worst performance. What worries me is that we have been on a slow and steady decline since Watford. Could it be that we got a few good results early on as opponents did not expect our new style of play and now they are on...
Are you sure "his assist tally is not that impressive"? When he won the golden boot in Eredivisie, I believe he came in second league wide in assists... He has repeatedly mentioned that he gets more satisfaction from assisting than scoring...
My worry is that we are not only not getting better, I have to we are going backwards every game this year with this being our worst game of the campaign so far. And it was against a weak team. I don’t like Potter’s revolution every game. We should have small evolution every game.
We are...

It will be exciting watching March and Bernardo play LWB and LW, constantly switching positions and owning the left side of the pitch. I also thing JB with get the nod on the right side over Gross. He should be hungry and ready to prove himself. Interesting times.
