[Brighton] Council to discuss stadium for the women's team.....

We averaged nearly 3500 playing almost all our games at Crawley. Looks like we have already sold 6000+ for Spurs at the Amex on Sunday. I don't think averaging over 5000 at a permanent home in the city is particularly unrealistic and is a bit unambitious IMO.

Maximum sentence under current legislation is 4 years, so not exactly far off.

    [Albion] Brighton Women's Home Ground?

We went to Brighton vs Leicester WSL a couple of seasons ago and we parked there no problem for nothing. I can't guarantee it's still the case.

    [Albion] Brighton Women's Home Ground?

I just can't see much scope for further growth in attendances at Crawley to be honest. We are already averaging 3000 there and the stadium only holds 6000. It's miles from Brighton and it sucks for anyone not driving. I believe the Sussex University Car Parks are free on Sundays.

    [Albion] Brighton Women's Home Ground?

When we played Arsenal at the Amex in 2019 the crowd was 5265 and reported as an all time WSL record (for any side astonishingly). Whereas some clubs have since made great strides in getting bigger crowds, we haven't really built on that. COVID and some poor results have not helped. Ticket...

    [Albion] Brighton Women's Home Ground?

There is a limit, but it's not an issue as it is 50 events. The WSL would have to expand significantly for this to be a potential issue. Even then I'm sure the council would be very amenable to increasing the limit.

[Albion] Villa v Albion - the xG thread

I guess the OG had 0xG, so that might partially explain it. Comparing this season to last, our (UnderStat) xGA has gone from the 4th best, to the 7th worst, which is concerning. It's gone from 1.3 per game to 1.8. We need to improve or we can forget about the Champions League next season.

    [Travel] HS2 to be scrapped?

It's 40% complete. Plus contracts have been signed for billions more. This would be absolutely insane.

[Albion] Ground extensions - that old chestnut!

It was refused, but the applicant presumably appealed, as there is/was a public inquiry. I cannot find out any details on what happened or when it's likely to make a recommendation.

[Albion] AEK ticket won't appear in Apple Wallet

I had a similar error on my Android phone a while back. It didn't work with my browser, but after I changed the default browser to something else, it uploaded to my wallet with no errors.

[Albion] Saluting The 30 pass Di Zerbi Ball thread

We may be the top scorers but this goal, and our playing style in general is apparently boring. Stand down everyone.

[Albion] Garth Crooks (made-up) Team of the Week 2023/24

You'd never guess we are the leading scorers in the division from his selections. I suppose his selections do roughly correspond to the league table, apart from Chelsea and Man Utd.

Updated two days ago though. Evan Ferguson is in the top 25 strikers list and it mentions his hat-trick against Newcastle. https://www.90min.com/posts/the-25-best-strikers-in-world-football-ranked

[Albion] How Brighton are spending Chelsea’s money

"Fanzone on the surrounding walkways, complete with overseeing boundaries." - I wonder what these plans will look like? Is it possible they will try buy some land off Brighton University for this, perhaps where the prefabs were. Presumably the Uni is strapped for cash, given they have announced...

[Albion] Newcastle's slow ticket sales / new penalties for handing on tickets

Why the insult? This concerns away matches, specifically ID checks. It seems to me an attempt to distribute away tickets more fairly, reduce touting and stop people jumping the queue. I don't know if they propose any way of changing the name on away tickets after purchase. Seems unlikely for...

But how does any of that apply to the Newcastle plans to ID some away ticket holders?
