[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Yeah and you just know that even if planes do ever take off and the boats keep coming, which they will, and people keep dying, which they will, that no one would ever admit that this policy is wrong and hateful.

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

If/when it fails surely a 'normal' person would accept that the game is up and they are no longer able to govern and be forced to call a general election?!

[Brighton] Elm Grove / Bear Road

Friend of my sister has just sold a property in the Elm Grove area due to the antics of students living next door. They had done the house up really nicely but couldnt enjoy it at all. To the point that when they went out they dreaded going home.

    [Politics] Worst PM since Thatcher

Thats exactly what is was like! If went into Number 10 the morning after Brexit and said 'Well that didnt go as well as I hoped' (or words to that effect). If him and Osborne were in politics for anything other than themselves were did they both eff off straight away when they had no power...

    [Politics] Worst PM since Thatcher

He was a politician and not a personality. Should’ve called an election when he got the keys to number 10. Would’ve won.

    [Politics] Worst PM since Thatcher

I wonder why people would vote for brown? Not criticising. Just wonder what he did to make him worse than Truss/Johnson?

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Yeah and still Sunak thought it an appropriate line of attack to have a go at Raynor just yesterday?! And Raynors allegations of tax avoidance come from a serial abuser of the non-dom tax laws?! I dont know if thats called brass neck or half witted?!

    [Politics] Liz Truss **RESIGNS 20/10/2022**

Just seen her contribution to the smoking debate today. Apparently it’s not for government to legislate on such things individuals should be able to decide on what they do. Fantastic! I decide not to pay any tax or national insurance, drive my car whilst pissed out of my head and shoot...

[Football] New stadium plans at Birmingham City

Which reminds me of the old (Birmingham City fan) Jasper Carrots joke. ‘So I said to the bloke next to me (cupping his hand to his mouth) OI!’

    [Misc] Salespeople in shops

I loved that shop! Made some decent money punting shoes bought in there on eBay. Size 13 wallabies? Step this way sir. And the shopping centre had to be seen to be believed. Decent curry house though despite initial impressions.

The Salvation Army still pop up with war cry now on a Friday night and sneer when you say no thanks! Ah the Christian spirit.

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Two things on this spring to mind. 1) Given the scorched earth policy that the Tories are leaving behind it will take longer than one parliamentary term to put right and people might not have the patience to give them a second term. 2) It neednt get into that cycle if parties could work out how...
