    [News] Flu Jab

Received mine last week - through my employer. Locally, a number of GPs have arranged a flu jab drive thru. In a country park, you will be able to drive your car, arm out of the window, where a nurse/pharmacist will then give you the flu jab. I just wonder if this is also some kind of...

[News] The Coronavirus Good News thread

Seems that phase 3 vaccine trials are continuing apace. Awhile back, I signed up with UK Govt to participate in a trial. Last night, Novovax - a US company that the UK Govt has an order of 60m doses contacted me to see if I would enroll. I have. No guarantees that I will be picked - although i...

[Albion] Martin Perry retires on 30 September

The word legend is bandied about too easily. But this guy is a legend. As others have said, one of the most important individuals this club has had in its 119 year history. Enjoy your retirement Martin. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk

    [News] NHS CV19 tracing app.

But you wouldn't solely rely on the app to self isolate for 14 days. It will let you know if you have been in contact, you then take a test to see if you have it. During that time and hopefully a negative result you self isolate. It's the right thing to do. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk

    [Technology] Music Cassette Tapes

I used to love making up my own mixes. In my early teens I did not have a music centre that could copy direct from vinyl to tape, but rather separate systems. I even had a mono record player for awhile and would put my tape recorder next to it. All would be well, until my mum shouted upstairs...

That has really made me laugh. You sir, are a genius and a sleuth. But, the plot thickens - why the fake?

    [News] NHS CV19 tracing app.

Notification isn't definite and you wouldn't self isolate for 14 days on the strength of it. But, you would self isolate, whilst at the same time take a test. That way you could be sure.

    [Albion] Andone

I think too much is made on whether players like one another. In our own workplaces we have teams made up of colleagues, some we like, some meh, some detestable. But, unless for some very good reasons (i.e very disruptive to group) we all have to work with each other. Very few colleagues have I...

    [News] NHS CV19 tracing app.

Its day one. Not every outlet will have poster on day one. Besides, its more useful for restaurants/pubs. Its an iterative process, each day good responsible outlets will have these posters. Its in their interests to make things easier for them and their staff

    [News] NHS CV19 tracing app.

Downloaded it just now. Right thing to do. I do wonder whether those who have said that they wont download the app, are really being honest about their reasons? After all, we live in a world of facebook, other social media, stores cards, credit cards, shopping habits which are all gathered...

[Drinking] 10PM pub closing. what will people do ?

That is probably the issue. Many places do follow the rules, others dont. Its the others that dont which cause a lot of the problems. I feel sorry for pubs that have done all they can.

[Drinking] 10PM pub closing. what will people do ?

Not in a pub - but looking outside into a Leeds pub when Liverpool played Leeds it was ridiculous. Not getting at Leeds - it is where I live.

[Drinking] 10PM pub closing. what will people do ?

I take your point. But, there is a balancing act here between spreading the virus and having some form of economic activity. Clubs will go to the wall very soon - I think it better that people can sit outside - spaced apart rather than in a pub all pi$$ed and not social distancing in any shape...
