I think you're muddling up the near-stadium parking (which is pre-booked and paid for), and the park and rides. 10 minutes further down the a27 from lewes will bring you to the Racecourse P&R, usually plenty of space if you don't leave it too late. And you can nip into my local for a pre-match...

This. And now I understand the selfishness of my previous behaviour, I'm now going to drive the 30 seconds up the road to my nearest P&R and plonk my fat-arsed motorcar there for the afternoon, so I can be a legit user. So get there early, or I might just have taken the LAST SPACE!
