[Other Sport] Lewis Hamilton apologising for remark to nephew

How have we come to this point? We’ve finally recognised the mental health problems and high suicide rates among people with gender dysphoria, which are largely created and reinforced by inflicting gender stereotypes on people. To simply brush it off as the “world gone crazy” or to blame the “PC...

[Football] England in Australia and Nathan Lyon.

You can scrub Ashton Agar off that list. He just played in both of Australia’s tests and a couple of ODIs on the tour of Bangladesh and India about three months ago. He’s only just turned 24 too, so time is definitely on his side.

[Other Sport] Chris Froome cleared over Vuelta drugs test - case dropped

From what I have read about Lewis, the levels he tested positive to are now legal under WADA and IOC rules. At the time he tested positive, it wouldn’t have resulted in an automatic suspension, but would only have triggered a “please explain”.

[Cricket] Second Ashes Test Australia vs England Adelaide 2nd-6th December 2017

I lived in Adelaide for nearly 30 years, and I can assure you it has always been regarded as the best batting track in the country...especially in the first innings. Bowling first was madness.

    Brace yourselves over Stokes...

Except the quote from the news story is “Kai feared he could be attacked.” It would be hard to argue self-defence when (1) Stokes wasn’t defending himself, and (2) there hadn’t been an attack for him to defend. It was a pre-emptive strike by the sounds of it. And at the point Stokes put the...

    Brace yourselves over Stokes...

He didn't just defend himself though. Before he knocked the bloke out, there were plenty of opportunities to walk away. The two blokes he was fighting were backing away, and his mates were urging him to stop. But Stokes kept going. Given that the bloke he hit fell back and hit his head on the...

    Marathon Thread

I've just signed up to do my first ever marathon in May next year. 44 km from Lorne to Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. The course is right along the coast the whole way, but is quite hilly. Being my first race, I'll be happy just to finish, but would love to break 5...

    Riga - NSC Recommendations?

My grandfather and great uncle were among the 55,000 - and to confirm what was posted above, they were fighting against the Russians, rather than for the Germans.

    Piegate

The guy was simply having some fun. Didn't affect the outcome or integrity of the game in any way. During the last Australian federal election count, one of our best known tv journalists was made aware that a betting agency was taking bets on what colour tie he was going to wear. So on the...

2% of all elite athletes tested positive for the same drug in 2015. Do you think they all had the same "medical condition"?
