    [Politics] How is Boris doing?

Like you are am centre left. As I recall Majors government fell due to corruption so not a great example As for Corbyn I do not fall for the right wing media attack on Labours leader. Being up there in age I recall the same was said by the tory press of Gaitskell, Wilson, Callaghan , Foot...

    25 Man Squad [2019 Edition]

Maybe so, he seemed enthused. Think it might work with a potter style of three at the back, though Montoya is likely first pick for the wide berth, he is after all a quick attacking type so might just fit in. We will just have to wait and see.

[Football] What did you make of the Southampton pre-game light show?

As the wife is epileptic would have set her off, definitely a problem for those who suffer this issue. Those flashing adverts are nearly as bad. So its a thumbs down from me.

    [Misc] Deafness in children

Have been where you are now. My born profoundly deaf son is now 25. I noticed issues early and it was confirmed at age 1. We had much to learn but the best advice we ever had was given early on by a parent who had been through it. She said 'you will spend your life fighting for him'. We went...

[TV] Who is America? (Sacha Baron Cohen)

This is so right. When I first met my future American family I was asked if we had colour television in the UK. I could not help myself and told them, ' Well we do but it involves using tracing paper which we colour in as the show goes on.' THEY BELIEVED ME!

    [Football] Alan Gilzean RIP

What a great player he was. I was lucky enough to go with mates to see him play (used to watch a London game when Albion were away) . I never saw the like again, thus far. He was magnificent with those clever headers and finding space in the box. Thanks for the memory Alan. RIP

[Politics] How have you political views changed during your life?

Now being in my sixties a lot of water has gone under the bridge. I formed my political leaning started to form when seeing my father touch his forelock and bow to the gentry. To me this was shameful, but he explained you did as you were told. He was from a farming family, just farm workers...

[Albion] That journey back from old Trafford - the Monday afternoon bored post

You were right about that,( West Yorkshire) did you have any problems coming into Donny? P.S I stayed in the inside lane until conditions improved so glad I was not in your way ( as a middle lane hogger).

[Albion] That journey back from old Trafford - the Monday afternoon bored post

No problem driving over the pennines getting there but the journey back was hair raising (not that I have much left to rise). Chugged through the blizzard on britain's highest motorway. Managed 30 m.p.h at times! Praying the odd crazy would not hit me as they dared to pass (most were sensible)...

    Loyalty Miles ?

470 miles round trip generally 4 hours on the road but M25 can make that grow to 6 and don't get me started on night time road closures. Still, love it once I get there.

Highlights of Checkatrade vs Oxford Utd

A really enjoyable game. Our lads played a high intensity and skilful game. Sanchez in goal was commanding and delivered some excellent and accurate kicks to our players. Great penalty save and was close to one more. Morrison at right back was quick and strong needs to work on...

    Labour voters are political dimwits...

Guess you weren't a seagull fan back then, the glory days of Peter Ward and co. Free Uni tuition, lovely grants. Plentiful council housing. Lower costs on rail travel. Personally best years of my life. The wonderful war generation still with us having fought for the positive freedoms we enjoyed...
