The trick is to go to an all inclusive that sells branded drinks rather than generic alcohol given names like Boofeater Gin, or Johnny Wilker. We went to one where I got through about half a bottle of Jack Daniels each evening, got very drunk.

A lot of people seem to be taking this thread far too seriously. Surely the comedy value fo the phrase to Gump is what was intended. I don't think the OP was really trying to insult anyone. After all being called a gumper for running for a train/bus/car is hardly very insulting is it.

Surely the most common Gumpers are those who wait for the final whistle and then sprint out to get to Trains and busses, The Early leavers don't have to Gump it to get the queues. On evening games I have been known to get my Gump on. Not weekends though.
