Perhaps we're overthinking it and we already have the perfect option in Dunk.
This is how we set up against Palace and Dunks heatmap, and that went well.
Couldn't agree more.

until Hurzeler became assistant coach at FCSP Smith was only used as a DM, only then did he convert to the hybrid CB.
Looking at Wieffer's defensive action stats, he's undoubtedly more suited to that role than anyone we already have.
This is his whoscored ratings, very impressive scores.
His Aerial Duels rating of Very Strong may be an indicator that he could fill the potential hybrid CB/DM role which Hurzeler prefers.
Yankuba Minteh is a player we went after back in 2022, but lost out to Newcastle. It now seems they need to sell him to meet PSR.
Probably out of our price range, which is a shame because he is lightning quick...
So far this summer, these are the players I've seen us linked with:
Kevin Mier, 23, GK, Cruz Azul
Joan Garcia, 23, GK, Espanyol
Kevin Mantilla, 21, CB, Talleres
Emin Bayram, 21, CB, Galatasaray
Juanlu Sánchez, 20, RB, Sevilla
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, 25, CM, Leicester
Malick Yalcouye 18...
Don't get too hung up on positions and formations, Hurzeler's a maniac.
These graphics represent the positions of 3 of his most used players last season.
5 first team ready players is what Bozza has been told.

Enciso is too greedy to play that role. Its as much about setting up others as it is about scoring himself.
Hartel scored 17 last season, but he also assisted 12.
Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 and assisted 14 last season.
Not convinced by Moder at all.
His passing is suspect, he gets caught on the ball too often and last season we averaged over a point per game more when he doesn't play.
I hope he has a good Euros so we get the best price for him.
From what I can find, Daniel Farke had put Summerville on pens, and he won the penalty, so Piroe was in the wrong, no?
This is what he said. "Today we had the situation [where] Joel and Cree both were on the sheet and they have a good relationship."
