Chef still gets paid if he cooks it blue or well done. Why should he/she care. A good chef would want to cook food how people want it. If you came to my house for dinner I wouldn't dream of cooking something the way you specifically didn't want.

Rubbish if you pay £7.95 for a steak in a harvester or £35 in a posh restaurant you should be able to have it cooked how you like. Its your money its your choice. These restaurants need to remember they are a service industry.

I ordered a well done steak in a posh old restaurant and the waiter said do you want ketchup with that.... So I politely said no and asked to see the manager so I could tell him why we leaving.
